i am sooooo happy they gave me a little us flag pin to pin on my jacket :) ))

i will give details later, but all in all veeeery easy interview. the pre interview check of the docs was a little scary - she asked for pics BEFORE the wedding, and i didn't brign any even though my husband and i have travelled half the world together for the past 5 years, but didn't think it was necessary. also she asked for certificate of marital status issued by the municipality which i didn't have.

but the consular herself didn't even look at the pictures i brought or the documents, we just talked for 10 mins and i lifted my left hand to swear with President Obama's portrait next to me. yeeeey i am sooo happy.

going to pick up visa later today and flying off to the love of my life on friday night yeeey.

I am waiting to pick up my passport in a couple of hours. I was informed that the visa was printed in it yesterday but for some reason it is going to be available to pick up today. I have only two days to pack, no complaints, however. The wait has been so long that I would leave right now with no luggage.

Hi kotana, My husband also just picked up the visa. I am sure by now, you also have your visa in hand. For me, it still feels bit surreal.. :)

Hey K.D. , You got an interview real fast, your case was complete May 20 and got interview on June 8?

I think your experience will be big help for me, yours is in Mumbai also right?

Oh yes...waiting is hard. I've been away from my husband for a little over 7 months and there have been hard times....but it seems like these last few days are the hardest because we are almost there....the end is in sight!

Oh yes...waiting is hard. I've been away from my husband for a little over 7 months and there have been hard times....but it seems like these last few days are the hardest because we are almost there....the end is in sight!

i can feel you amanda.... my interview is 2 days after yours but i be leaving before for medical too.... the waiting is really hard... and i wont be seeing my husband anytime soon since hes still deployed.....the visa is 6 months valid right?

Hi everyone, i just stopped by to say I was approved!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am exhausted!! In the last 4 days I've been sleeping only 3 hours per day, feels such a relief now! Thank You GOD!!!

I was there by 7:30 am, there were 24 people in front of me in line, so when it was 11:30 am the consul said he was gonna take a break for lunch and would come back only at 1pm. So it was really exhausting, but now it pays off. Later I will give you a full review but for now I need a rest :)

So far, 100% approval ratio :D I just noticed, we've almost identical timeline, NOA1, case completion, interview date, etc. Maybe off by day or two.. what a coincidence!

:unsure: Really hard time... i just want to sleep and wake up for my first interview... then sleep again and wake up for the second :P .... the worst part is that i can´t sleep at night :wacko:

and i know... in a few days the time won't be enough to do all what i want.... :blink: This is the life! Ironic, don't you think?
