my interview is two days after yours amanda.... so good luck to all... i be leaving my country before though... i have to fly to italy for my interview and medical test

Yep, K.D. here with you and Eca. Just 11 days and counting. Just realized that her interview will be on Monday and they are one day ahead so I'll find out next Sunday!!! Can't wait!!!

Good luck everyone!!! We will all get our long awaited reunions soon!!! Come to think of it, GS4EVER must be really enjoying hers!!!

You said it so well, I can't think of anything else either. My husband's interview, his POE, etc. are always on my mind I've even looked up things about getting Driving Learner permit and SS Card... We've a trip planned for Niagara Fall in august and we need these things to cross the border... So there are lots of TODOs for us after he gets here.... I hope everything goes well... there are lot of things that has to happen properly for a successful trip

And it is good to know that I'm not the only one going nuts here. I was just looking up things for her to get her license and her SS Card too. Just yesterday as a matter of fact. There's a lot of SSN info here. Her's was a little different though because she already has a number from when she attended a college way back. So on her last visit we changed her name, but they wouldn't give us the card because they said that she was still ineligible to work. All these little details...actually not driving me nuts, I AM nuts already!!!

I have heard that SSC is mailed automatically now,no need to apply ,dont know if it is true.....

I m really nervous too for my hubby's interview...He still didn't go for his medical,he is really tied up in work I am really scared of AP

Greetings from the USA! It has been 12 days since my arrival and it has been wonderful! Just wanted to drop by and say hi and that my thoughts and prayers are with you all as you await your good news from the interviews!

To aswer atk721 question, I got my my SSN within 4 days of arriving. I wasn't sure whether it would be automatically mailed to me (as per the DS230 form where it asks you if you want one), so I contacted the local SS office. I went in on a Tuesday and gave them my details. They said that I could come back the next day to get the number as long as I had been processed in the system. I arrived the Saturday before and when she entered my details in the sytem on Tuesday, she confirmed that my arrival had been entered in the system. So on Wednesday I went back to the office and she printed a letter with my number. The card takes about 2 weeks to arrive but I can still use my number to apply for jobs etc.
