:wow: I love ur positive attitude! U r right since there is not much u can do, doesn't help to let it get to u. But the good news is that they didn't move it up by a month or something. OMG if something like that happened to me after moving us up I would have a heart attack!! Actually in the back of mind I am paranoid hubby will show up on May 12th and they will turn him away saying sorry ur NVC letter states June 17th!! :unsure::wacko::whistle: Praying hard it doesn't happen!

I asked to the lady who told me about the change if i will receive another letter, and she told me NO, the date has been changed that's all you have to know... :wacko: and i made some other questions and I think she doesn't know anything about the process... she just do the phone call :blink:

I hope we do not have any problem....

gixbr, about the $400 IV fee, if you don't have the receipt maybe you can print and show something of the bank's transaction... :blush: just an idea....

I don't know if they usually ask for that receipt, and i don't think so... but it's better if you are prepared for all... :hehe:

My interview was scheduled by the consulate in Naples and not by NVC so it might be slightly different.... thanks for your prompt reply Eca y Bubu :)

Hi All,

Don't stress to much about the not having the receipt. You can always show them the barcode cover sheet and explain to them that you cannot obtain this without having paid the $400. Also, they can always verify this with the NVC .

I called the AVR today, to check whether an interview has been scheduled and instead of a date for the consulate appointment the message said that my case has been approved as of May 5, 2009 (from April 30, 2009 previously). Only until yesterday, the AVR said my case has been approved as of April 30, 2009 (see my timeline below). I called a service rep and she said all is OK, but she couldn't explained why my approval date was moved.

Not that it makes any difference, but still concerning when the NVC does something like that.

Has anyone experienced a similar change in approval dates? I think I will set a record for the longest NVC processing....

my i-130 approved in jan after 9 months of filing and i got case complete on 20th april... :unsure::angry::blush::blink::devil::star: ................ all kindda emotions we'd passed through in ths roller coster ride of NVC journey :wacko::innocent:

i emailed mumbai consulate about interview letter ... they replied tht i can use the same interview letter sent by NVC for medical and interview ....... i m confused coz i read on VJ in some post about consulate letter for interview.. coz they ask for it at VFS ... wht should i do now ?

they said i can pick a copy on counter at consulate in week days but not possible to go to mumbai for tht ...

Hi everyone! Filipina here. I just wanna share mine. We are on K1 visa. We have an attorney, but still, it did not meet my expectation of receiving their 100% support.

Anyway, I don't have my packet yet but I already have my visa interview this May 18, 2009. I am going to have my medical on May 11.

:help: My questions:

  • Won't there be any problem with my medical schedule? Is't just in time for my visa interview?
  • I don't have my packet yet, should I worry and do something about this? And what is that they said that I have to pay for 600 peso at the Metrobank for the delivery. Some say, that 600 peso is for verification of documents from NSO. They also said that it should be paid at least 1 month before the interview, or else, it would be a cause of delay for the release of the visa. Is that right?

i had sent pm about mumbai consulate..... and when is yr wife's interview? and will you attend the interview too?? just li'l confused, if USC can also face interview along with spouce ???

i emailed mumbai consulate about interview letter ... they replied tht i can use the same interview letter sent by NVC for medical and interview ....... i m confused coz i read on VJ in some post about consulate letter for interview.. coz they ask for it at VFS ... wht should i do now ?

they said i can pick a copy on counter at consulate in week days but not possible to go to mumbai for tht ...

i used the one NVC sent me to do my medical exam and i'll use it for the interview too, the consulate didn't send me anything :star: 10 days to go :clock:

got packet -4 today...

no problem princess.. u can use tht letter too,, and if you want then e-mail the consulate with yr e mail id and postal address,,,, they will send you extra copy like they sent me today

Case complete: 04-20-09

Interview date: 06-08-09
