Expecting Interview in June

I called NVC awhile ago and i asked if i have my intervew date - the operator said that she cannot give the exact date since its the USEM who will assign the interview date. She also said that May was already full of interviews...

I asked if our case is really complete (just an assurance) and she said it is complete.. ill call the NVC mabye after 3 days

U r almost there! Try signing in the NVC payment website and if it fails it means u are very very close (1-2 days from case completion). Most of us here got case complete the day after log in failed. Good luck!

hahaha u working there and combining ur vacation times...who will wave at my package then?? Looks like ur package got distracted from all the waving and ended up being dizzy going back and forth back and forth lol It's really crazy what's going on with ur DHL! But it's probably what u said- the holiday coinciding with the delivery! But I agree evtg is about timing...Look what happened to us, last week their answer was sorry no can do and today they had an opening...So i say keep checking the DHL website and as soon as it's arrived, try ur luck. U never really know!

Hah, your package flew by my package and didn't even look back. But I'm glad for you!!! Good luck and best wishes!!!!! All is good with me too. I think June 8 will work out for us. Sooner would definitely be better, but at least we are almost there. Flying out to see her tomorrow so we will at least have some time together in the mean time. Yes, I hope the quarantine situation will be okay, but only God knows and just have to leave it at that.

Hi everybody... I have news again...

My countdown is now a countup ? well i just receive a phone call from the embassy and my interview has been rescheduled... My interview will be on June 8th, Because on June 1st the new goverment will take the power...

So... No hay mal que por bien no venga... i'll use that week for... something!

I love ur positive attitude! U r right since there is not much u can do, doesn't help to let it get to u. But the good news is that they didn't move it up by a month or something. OMG if something like that happened to me after moving us up I would have a heart attack!! Actually in the back of mind I am paranoid hubby will show up on May 12th and they will turn him away saying sorry ur NVC letter states June 17th!! Praying hard it doesn't happen!

Guess what guys!!! Last nite before I went to bed I prayed to God so so hard and asked that the embassy please listen and grant us our wish and guess what???? they moved up our interview date by more than a month!!! I am still in shock and sooooooooooooo freakin' grateful!! Corinne, dare I say I might do my own little dance next week????!!!

Have u all tried to contact ur consulates to c if u can change ur dates?? Ours did not agree at first but they did not have our file yet. Now that they do, the answer came back favorable so it doesn't hurt to try!! Best of luck!!

Thank u IAGP (hope u don't mind the acronym ), I agree. Actually the nite I emailed the embassy I prayed with all my might asking they move us up and asked that the date be sometime b/w mid-end of May and was absolutely shocked when hubby texted me at 4:30 a.m. saying embassy called him and said May 12th!! Good luck to u as well!

BTW Corinne from OZ, I have a q for u. Did u pay a fee for CR1? If so how much was it? Does anyone know if we have to pay a visa fee the day of the interview?

And then she showed the receipt from NVC, but I was thinking, NVC closed that payment website for us and I don't have that receipt with me, I only have the cover letter.

Is that something they usually ask for? Or would they know if I paid by the cover letter?

That kind of worries me now. You guys know, every detail is like a big thing for us.

your interview is now so close.... they offered me a may interview but its impossible for me to make arrangements now since i have to go to another country.... im happy with the date

I called the AVR today, to check whether an interview has been scheduled and instead of a date for the consulate appointment the message said that my case has been approved as of May 5, 2009 (from April 30, 2009 previously). Only until yesterday, the AVR said my case has been approved as of April 30, 2009 (see my timeline below). I called a service rep and she said all is OK, but she couldn't explained why my approval date was moved.

Not that it makes any difference, but still concerning when the NVC does something like that.

Has anyone experienced a similar change in approval dates? I think I will set a record for the longest NVC processing....
