I am sooo glad,first person from this little group to have interviewCORRINE got her Visa :dance::dance::dance: ....That's an awesome start.

Time to update the list ,saying Visa received :)

champi, that's awesome you already bought tickets for your husband!! Me and my husband we are still afraid of something going wrong, I don't know, we hear so many stories. But I already bought tickets to the city where the consulate is, and we already have a date for my trip to US, June 24th!!!

As soon as I leave the interview he will call me and buy the ticket! I cant wait, I'm doing a countdown!

GS4EVER, are you gonna buy plane tickets too in advance?

Hey gixbr, not until hubby passes the interview as we might be in Post interview AP :unsure: We might not though since we were already in AP for both K3 and CR1 at NVC but we can't know for sure as it can only be determined at Interview according to our consulate if further AP is needed. But hubby will block the ticket before he goes to interview and reserve it as soon as he has the visa in hand.

Hi all! I am on the bus to the interview! I am sending this from my mobile phone. I am so tired and didn't sleep at all. I am excited! Que sera sera, but the good Lord is with me and give me strength!

HEHE that's funny :P When hubby goes to his interview I will be up all nite holding a vigil talking to him on the phone up until he arrives at the door and has to go in.

Hi to everyone else. I'm just laying low, trying to keep busy, and waiting like all of you. My husband is on the bus now en route to his medical tomorrow. I'm anxious (those Moroccan buses make me crazy) but hopefully all will be okay. My flight is booked and I'm busily organizing all our "evidence" so he will swim through it. It's 42 days, 8 hours, and 45 minutes until his interview, but who's counting :innocent: . Will May ever end? I wish it was 50 days from now and he was here. :blush:

Good to c u Vivian. Me! I am counting! Our hubbies' interviews are very close! 44 days for us (though not counting the hours yet :lol: ). I also can't wait for these 50 days to go by!

I emailed consulate tonite to c if they will agree to move up our date. I really hope they have an opening sooner than 3rd week of June. But I am not holding my breath as I have a feeling the answer will come back negative...I'll keep u guys posted tomorrow.

Last nite before I went to bed I prayed to God so so hard and asked that the embassy please listen and grant us our wish and guess what???? they moved up our interview date by more than a month!!! I am still in shock and sooooooooooooo freakin' grateful!! Corinne, dare I say I might do my own little dance next week????!!!

New interview date= MAY 12th!!! OMG THAT'S NEXT TUESDAY!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!

Have u all tried to contact ur consulates to c if u can change ur dates?? Ours did not agree at first but they did not have our file yet. Now that they do, the answer came back favorable so it doesn't hurt to try!! Best of luck!! :star::star::star:

Wow GS4Ever - that's fantastic :dance: Good for you. Now I wish I'd tried emailing our consulate after all - maybe I'll check the penalty if I change my ticket. On the other hand, I get the feeling Casa isn't as accommodating as some of the other consulates, and I do have work commitments over the next couple of weeks. Guess I'll just keep playing the patience game. :star:

I already bought the plane ticket and have everything planned for my interview date so I can't even email the consulate and ask the same, but I wish I knew this option before. Oh well :) I think I'm ok with flying on June 24th, gives me time to do a close up and my life here. :)

03/25/09 - Sent the IV DS-230 packet by mail direct from beneficiary's country

03/28/09 - Sent the AOS packet by mail

04/01/09 - AOS packet delivered at NVC

04/08/09 - DS-230 Packet delivered at NVC ( I don't know why that long it was stuck at Customs for like 2 weeks!!!)

04/09/09 - AVR says it's missing the DS-230 (False RFE)

04/09/09 - AOS approved

04/10/09 - DS 230 entered into the system, probably under review now.

04/13/09 - AVR says "The NVC has received the checklist letter response on April 10th"

04/20/09 - Case Completed at NVC

04/24/09 - Got e-mail with the appointment letter

05/26/09 - Medical Exam

06/03/09 - Interview Date!!!! PASSED!!

06/06/09 - Received passport and the Big Brown Envelope

06/24/09 - POE

Hi there, Princess. I'm freaking out too, and I'm not even going to be the one in the interview! It's so scary hearing about Casa visa refusals. Do you think they are tougher on K visa applicants than CR-1s? My husband just called me from outside the consulate - he just had his medical (a marathon he said :star: , but fine). Sounds like he made a bunch of new friends all doing the medical for their visas. I know I shouldn't worry too much as we've been "together" more than 6 years and I've made 18 trips there to see him :whistle: I'm working on our "evidence" portfolio - just had a bunch of wedding party photos professionally printed and enlarged for the album. It's hard to believe anyone looking at them would think we're a pair of impostors. Anyway, I'll be right outside the consulate during his interview and if he has any problems I'll be on the phone to my congressman immediately.

Good luck, and try to relax. This too shall pass, as they say.

hi guys, my hubbies interview is in 37 days counting from today, i am not counting in the hours yet, the more i count the more imapatient i get....this too shall pass, that is what im telling myself, just pray ing hard, so my hubby gets the visa.....Allah listened to ourprayers all through... i am soo grateful i was sooo paranoid about the nvc journey, but still cant get alll happy before i have my hubby right here with me....yet.. im happy for you GS and congrats for getting the visa coriann, every one else hang on there, good luck for your interviews........
