AOS puts her status in "pending" - she will not need to go back.

Did you get the NOA?

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

We have not received anything from Immigration yet. Do we need that for her to stay?

NOA shows you applied for the AOS.

What date is on her I-94?

Your good to go.

Wait for the NOA - relax.

Your AOS puts her in a different status -

Congrats on the marriage btw!

Thank you. Its good to hear, because my wife has been freaking out. I was getting alittle worried myself. How long does the NOA usually take? Also once she gets her EAD, does she need to get employment right away to keep the AOS going?

Time varies on the receipt of the AOS - you can check how you paid for it (checking?) and see if they cashed it. (on the back is the case number you can use to track it).

No - she doesn't have to use the EAD to keep the AOS going.

We paid with money order. I guess I should have paid with check. Can I call immigration and inquire about the case without the control number? Sorry for all the questions. You are being very informative.

Without a case number, they are hard to work with. You can always try.

I would give it a week or so.
