I just noticed this on the confirmation page of the DS156:

When 'None' or 'NA' are entered into any of the following the fields: 'Other Surnames Used', 'Other First

and Middle Names Used', and 'National Identification Number', the text will be removed by the EVAF

software from the data in the 2D barcode. If the applicant's name actually is None or NA the post must

enter the name manually into NIV or RDS.

I entered "N/A" where it asked for my middle name just in case they thought that "None" WAS my middle name.

It's true. My dad's from Glasgow and is only Allistair. No middle name.

That was funny!!

Its sad that I had to use every line of that damn form. I have a middle name and I have a formerly used last name because I was adopted. To make things better I didn't have my middle name put on my passport so I had to put it in the "other middle names used" section. Its going to be even better when I get married and take my fiance's last name
