Hello Mrs. Simps, I understand, I too wish I can see my husbands face when he tells me he loves me, I miss holding his hand,

I miss all the things, and this journey is difficult, and tests our strength. I still cry into my pillow at night, wishing it was my husbands shoulder I was laying on and not a wet pillow from crying on it. Hold tight, be strong Mrs. Simps, we are all in this together.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

kinda hard to sit on your #### all day waiting for the damn NOA2... sucks.. but we all have to cope with waiting time.

i think mariel waited around 40+days. USCIS customer service said it takes them around 2 months to process the I130. We all have almost a month of waiting already... couple more weeks then we'll have our NOA2 already.

I'm going to start listing down my docs... then start changing all my paperworks here in Philippines to my married name so I have a better proof of valid relationship. I've started with my phone bills.. next will be my Social Security, and etc.

Keep reading about the NVC process... we've already waited this long.... another week or two won't kill us.

Yeah u should start preparing for the NVC.. I think its good idea but how u gonna change ur maiden name to ur married name??

Oh i have to go to different goverment agencies, present my marriage cert, fill up forms, pay fees for change of status.. this way it will reflect my married name on my Social Security records, passport, Tax ID, etc.

I'm going to start getting my school credentials too, so that if hubby and I decided I can work.. then I have everything with me already.

Then I'll go get my NVC papers done. This is on my last agenda list... because most of the legal papers here have date validity. i don't want to submit stale documents it might cause us more delay.

:crying: Hii guys... I wonder why they are not touching our case?? its been more then one month now and still pending.. Anyone got approved or touched yet?? They received Our I-130 on 12th of march.. anybody sent I-130 on same date approved or touched yet?? I feel so sad.. I read so many VJ member got approved only in 20days so i was thinking ours will be fast too but now i m really upset...is it anything good or bad if they do not touch?? I to have smooth and easy visa journey..Thank you somuch

Officially it is supposed to be approved or denied within 2-3 months so I wouldn't start worrying yet. My wife's took about 2 1/2 months but I know others who had theirs approved in less than 3 weeks. Everything else went smoothly for us after the I-30 and my wife now has her visa.

SIMPS!!! did you hear the news?? March Filer Tomuts got approved!!! Whee... hopefully, we're next in line. Paris called USCIS and she was told that an officer was working on her case already. Did you try to call???

Reposting this so you can call USCIS:

1. DIAL STILL 1-800-375 – 5283

2. PRESS 1-2-1 ENTER YOUR RECEIPT NUMBER.

3. AS SOON AS THE YOU HEAR THE STATUS OF YOUR CASE, PRESS 1-3-4. THERE'S NO OPTION FOR THIS, JUST DO IT AND YOUR CALL WILL THEN BE DIRECTED TO THE SERVICE CENTER IN LINE WITH THE RECEIPT NUMBER YOU ENTERED.

4. IT WILL BE A WAIT FOR COUPLE OF MINUTES, BUT ONCE THEY ANSWER, IT WILL BE STRAIGHT THEM ASKING YOU ABOUT YOUR RECEIPT NUMBER.

5. THEY ARE VERY POLITE, AND THEY WILL TELL YOU EXACTLY WHAT IS HAPPENING TO YOUR CASE. IF IT READY TO BE ASSIGNED TO AN IMMIGRATION OFFICER, OR IF IT DUE FOR APPROVAL BY AN IMMIGRATION OFFICER, OR YOUR PAPERS IS STILL IN THE MAIL ROOM, ETC.

I copied this from somewhere here. Thanks to the original poster (I forgot to take down the name). This is with minor changes already since the USCIS changed their menus.
