Hi All

I am filing my IR-1 visa at the London Consulate. Petition has been approved and DS-230 pt 1 has been returned. Just at the stage of gathering all the original documents needed for the interview. I have booked my medical but just wondered if anyone knew if having my medical before I send back the DS-2001 form saying I am ready for interview was a problem?

Prob will not be able to get the DS-2001 back till mid May waiting on a few docs and tax returns but medical is end of Apr. Anyone think this will be a problem?

Thanks

Jon

It shouldn't be a problem in the least. You can book your medical as long as you have your case number. Your medical is valid for twelve months after you take it (this taken directly from the medical forms that come with your Packet 3). I hope that helps!

Moving this to DCF as you filed directly with the London Consulate. You might also change your status from IR1/CR1 to DCF if this is the case to help with timelines!

And yes, as Magpie says, this won't be a problem. There is a case already open with your name and number on it, with your DS-230 Pt1 in it. Any medical results will go with that. And, unless you really think it will take another 6-8 weeks to get your missing documents and taxes squared away, you can go ahead and send the DS-2001 anyway. More than one of us has done it...
