Which Tax Returns?

Hi Guys! What a Great Site. I have a question, Can i send copies of 1040 Tax returns prepared by Tax accountant as evidence? Or are the Tax transcripts the only one's that will be useful? Thanks everybody

Tax transcripts from the IRS are official and better (free by request). I've heard they can fax it over if you're in a hurry. If you want to only send 1040, preferably you would send in signed copies and with W2s. Hope that helps!

Thankyou so much for your reply! Well unfortunately my husband send the packet out today but we only sent the copies of the 1040 without the W2's. Now i'm little worried! Somebody said i might get a RFE, can someone tell me what this is?

RFE-Request for evidence.USCIS may send you a notice requesting for additional documents if they are not happy or satisfied with those you have sent already.Good luck.

Hi VJ members,

I am ready to send my AOS package but have these doubts

1 I have tax transcripts,W2 and 1040 form copy for 2006,2007 but only W2 and 1040 form copy for 2008 is it good enough?

2.Question #19 in I-864EZ has two boxes to tick do we have to tick both?

3.Question # 16 house hold size-do I have to put 1 in front of spouse(part B) and 2 for total as iam only sponsoring my spouse.

Don't worry. I never sent transcripts just copies that I printed out - they were not signed copies I file electronically) and I never included W-2s. jasminelily is incorrect in her assertion that you will get an RFE for sending unsigned copies or copies without W-2. It has never happened to my wife's case - and she is going for her citizenship interview in 2 weeks, I never sent signed copies or W-2s throughput this process. Relax. Good Luck
