Is there A visa type w/no interview?

I KNOW our K-visas have an interview, and that's not my question. Twice now, my fiance' has been told a story by both a cousin and a friend, that they heard of a friend or acquaintance not having to sit for an interview. They also understood it to be a K-visa.

She is petrified of the interview process, despite my assurance that it's all going to be fine. I told her that they are providing her bad information about our journey, BUT...perhaps there's some other type of visa where they only review documents? Anyhow, I told her I would ask about it on the forum, and here I am doing so.

Thanks folks!

I never knew anybody who have been exempted to attend an interview. A lot of us who applied for a K visa went through it. There's nothing to be worried about as long as you can prove that your relationship is authentic, the interview usually lasts for 5-10 minutes, make sure all her documents are complete.

good luck

Previously, US business visa does not require interview. I have several friends from my previous job who received multiple entry visa to US without an interview. Now everything has changed. They require interview even for business visa right now. BTW, the company re-assures the US embassy that it would be responsible on everything.

She has nothing to worry about.

Assure her nothing to much worry about as long as your docs are complete. They just ask basic questions. Applying for a job is even harder. lol. But it's just pretty normal to feel worry and tense about the interview. It gave me chill even weeks before my sched; but I was amazed on how easy and smooth it turned out. Goodluck!
