A friend of mine is getting ready to go to the PI to get married then file the I-130 by the end of May.He wants to get her here the fastest way so would a K-1 be faster? The money part of all this really doesn't matter to him as long as he get's her here the quickest way.

So what do you all think.

I heard that K1 is the fastest way to get to America. Stuck in America for 2 years... cannot leave even to go home. Has to marry within 90 days of arrival. More money. More paperworks.

However, CR1 is an automatic green card producing visa... with condition. This means the girl can start working as soon as she lands in the US. She can go in and out of the US too since this is a multiple entry visa.

It really depends on their situation.
