Visa Process - Will these facts help??

Hey there!!

I am beginning the roller coaster ride that is the k1. My fiancee is just waiting for my g-325a forms etc to arrive b4 sending off the pack. We have been together nearly 2 years and have an 8 month old daughter, who was born in the UK but has an american passport cos of her mother. I have had 2 J1 working visas in the past (i met my fiancee in 2007 when working at summer camp) and cos of this this already have an SS number/card.

Will any of these details help me in my visa process ? Thanks for any feedback guys and gals!

Well let's just assume the 8-month old will help with the "Have you met in person within the past 2 years" requirement...

The rest certainly won't hurt. (Of course you'll need the standard proof as listed in the Guides)..

I would add these details to the I-129F package, it goes to show a bona fide relationship.

SSN can be noted on the forms where it asks for it. Having SSN is one less detail needed to be handled after arrival to the USA.

Yeah we have an abundance of proof/evidence... flights, pics, etc. My fiancee lived with me for 2 periods of 4 and 6 months.. I am just missing some of the important parts of my daughters life at the moment, want the visa to come quick!!! I know they say 3-6 months... hoping its 3!!!

I believe that yes, those details you discussed will help you.

Someone who's done this a little bit more recently than I have can verify this for you, but when you file your I-129F, I think that you're supposed to include an "affadavit regarding marriage." It's just a one page "blurb" about how you, (your name), plan on marrying your fiancee, (her name), within 90 days of his/her entering the U.S., and that the two you have a legitimate relationship, which began (fill in the details of your relationship). The last part--the details about your relationship--is where those details you discussed could go.

Ye thanks for that. We detailed how we met in the i-129F, and we've done the intent to marry forms... i have been on these forums reading for a little while now.. its taken a lot of reading for us to understand all of the forms!! I HOPE we know what we're doing now but all of the advice is appreciated guys and gals!!!

Did you look at marrying and doing the CR-1? Less paperwork after you enter (no adjustment of status) and less in fees (approx $1k). You get your green card upon arrival.
