Just to get a handle on what approvals are being generated out of Vermont of late, I thought it would be an idea for people to list them in this post.

Please remember to list your timeline. ie NOA 1 date and approval date.

Best wishes

Arthur and Roberta

:ot: Hello Sir, this is an off topic post.. just wanted to paste this here just in case anybody from VSC want to check their case status.

1. DIAL STILL 1-800-375 – 5283

2. PRESS 1-2-1 ENTER YOUR RECEIPT NUMBER.

3. AS SOON AS THE YOU HEAR THE STATUS OF YOUR CASE, PRESS 1-3-4. THERE'S NO OPTION FOR THIS, JUST DO IT AND YOUR CALL WILL THEN BE DIRECTED TO THE SERVICE CENTER IN LINE WITH THE RECEIPT NUMBER YOU ENTERED.

4. IT WILL BE A WAIT FOR COUPLE OF MINUTES, BUT ONCE THEY ANSWER, IT WILL BE STRAIGHT THEM ASKING YOU ABOUT YOUR RECEIPT NUMBER.

5. THEY ARE VERY POLITE, AND THEY WILL TELL YOU EXACTLY WHAT IS HAPPENING TO YOUR CASE. IF IT READY TO BE ASSIGNED TO AN IMMIGRATION OFFICER, OR IF IT DUE FOR APPROVAL BY AN IMMIGRATION OFFICER, OR YOUR PAPERS IS STILL IN THE MAIL ROOM, ETC.

I copied this from somewhere here. Thanks to the original poster (I forgot to take down the name). This is with minor changes already since the USCIS changed their menus. I called today and found out that my case is still in the mail room with no officer assigned to it yet.

Good luck!!

*thanks for the space*

Roberta, I still can not believe you and Arthur are not yet approved, it does not make sence. Im so suprise your case was not transfered with all the others, your in my prays, your such a sweet lady, I hate to see this happen to you.

Have you called USCIS lately?, just to see if its on a desk to be processed? I hated VSC when I was there last year, we got lucky when we refiled and got placed at CSC. Hold on Sweet lady, it can not be much further off for your approval. Your in my prays.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Paris Heart many thanks for your kind comments, we are hoping for an approval soon, as like everyone else in this process we want to get on with our lives together as intended. Fortunately Roberta is coming over to visit me in Mid May with her twin daughters. So we are all excited about that. Roberta will get to meet my parents and brother for the first time. I have arranged accommodation for us all in Devon England so they are in for a wonderful holiday all being well. As for calling USCIS and chasing the petition we are just waiting for the 6 month point (20th April) as per their normal processing forecast and then attempt to get this I 130 adjudicated and approved.

We hope others are approved this month as there seems to have been a real slowdown of I 130 approvals from Vermont lately. There also seems to be this blanket excuse that some petitions take longer than others to adjudicate. Hmm well I am sure verifying information from certain countries can be a little more difficult, however I find the time scale for this hard to believe given the tools at USCIS's disposal. After all I 130 documents form exactly the same pattern for everyone!

Best wishes for all involved in this drawn out process, we wish you all to be with your loved ones soon. Meanwhile we have our holiday together to look forward to and perhaps we shall be lucky and have an approval too.

No my dear friend, just what I feel in my heart for both of you. Enjoy the vacation, sounds like you made wonderful vacation plans Arthur, take a walk in the country side, relax, tell Roberta to get her tea hat for tea time , I always enjoyed that in London, and just enjoy each other and the family time. I so envy you both, going to be a wonderful holiday. Forget about USCIS on holiday, family is what it is all about now. I know we will hear great news from you both soon. And dont forget to pack the camera!!!

All the best, hugs,

Paris

Truly happy!!!

Hi Arthur and Roberta,

I think that I have same problem as you, but we filed my I-130 on Dec. 2008 and still no respond, as I see some people get approval in less than a month! I don't know how it works! Are you able to call to USCIS from England? I am trying to call from Canada but it doesn't work. However I wish you and all others in VJ all the best!

Please inform us when you get answer!

Thanks
