I sent out my response to RFE to Lee Summit, MO on 2/27. Still have not got any response as of today.(Case status online still showing case on-hold)

I am planning to submit one more time on the response to the RFE, just wondering do I need to actually send the documents out with Delivery confirmation or perhaps signature confirmation just to ensure they received my response in mail.

Thanks for your input..

Call before you send.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

#12 in the undeniable rules of life....

NEVER, EVER, FOR ANY REASON...send ANYTHING to ANY government agency (this means from the town clerk to the President) without sending it CERTIFIED MAIL, return receipt requested. NEVER, for any reason, even THINK about sending it without being certified and return receipt. You can also use FedEx or UPS as long as you get signature confirmation of anything, even a Christmas card.

Is it safe to assume you followed the instructions exactly?

For example:

  • Sent to correct address?
  • Sent with the correct "Care of" on the envelope?
  • Included the original RFE notice with your response?

Also - as mentioned above - call before you re-submit anything - it is entirely possible the USCIS site simply hasn't updated yet - doesn't necessarily mean they have not begun processing again.
