My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Eunice received her welcome letter today.

Green Card to follow within three weeks.

Just in time for me to take it to her when I fly to Brasil, last week of May, to be with her for her birthday.

I have a question maybe you can answer. I see alot of people post similar to yours.."Welcome notice/letter received." So did this look like an actual letter with Dear Mrs. Craneman or was it more like the NOA documents with the fancy border? The reason I ask is because my husband received his greencard in the mail on April 3 with no previous correspondence from USCIS since the notice that his case was transferred to CSC in October. The card itself was in one of those thick paper folders like credit cards come and mentioned he was approved and that if it was a conditional greencard, that conditions would have to be removed before the date on the card. There was also a small leaflet that was titled "Welcome to the United States." So I was curious about people that say they got the welcome letter and the card followed in a separate mailing. Also there was no online update. Our case is still pending according to what that says. And there was no email from CRIS indicating approval or card production ordered.
