I married my wife in early February 2009. She was here on a tourist visa so we filed the I-130 and I-485 concurrently. The NOA was dated around the 26th of Feb or so. She had her biometrics appointment in NJ on the 24th of March. It's now April 13th and still no updates on the USCIS website for either of our case numbers (the I-130 or I-485).

So my question is, what kinds of delays are people seeing these days? I read that often there are no updates until after you complete the biometrics, but that was 3 weeks ago and still nothing.

If anyone is on roughly the same schedule I'd appreciate your comments.

Thanks.

Cheapcharlie pls fill out your timeline, starting from the time you met. Seeing the timeline, makes it easy to advice and say something.Usually its 20-22 days after biometricsu. I wd advice you to wait another 1.5 week and then call the 1-800 number and talk to them and ask them your status. Sometimes mail gets lost on the way. So talking to them wd make you aware of wahts really happening. what does your case numbers start with ?

Thanks

To be honest, I wouldn't stress too much about the online updates - we never had a single one and even now (I've had my GC about 6 months) my application still shows pending, so it's not exactly a great indicator of what's happening. I got my EAD/AP about a month after biometrics, so I'd just wait a little longer. The USCIS timeframe for processing EAD/AP is up to 90 days, so you are still well within that. I know it's really hard waiting though, hope you hear something soon :)

Removing conditions:

10/9/10 - Package sent to Vermont

10/13/10 - NOA1 date, received 10/18

I'm having the same situation -- filed in Feb, did biometrics on 3/24 in NYC, and still can't check my status online. But I already got an interview notice letter, and I've read so many people saying online status is not reliable, so I'm not too worried about it. I may call and ask after a couple of weeks.

I have an almost similar timeline to yours. I came back home and there was an envelope from USCIS. Have been impatiently awaiting my EAD/AP in the mail. Found out that I have the AP. Yay! No EAD Still. My online Status hasn't been touched. Dont worry. They are lagging behind on online touches. But the files are being Processed. I am sure I will be posting another reply in a day or two regarding receiving the EAD(or RFE:) )

I'm in exactly the same timeline as you: except it was me on the tourist visa when I married my wife. We also have had no updates on the tracking website ('case not found') but my I-485 has been changed to 'request for additional information sent' today. My biometrics was done a month and a half ago and that's all the correspondence I've had since. It's no fun waiting I know.

Our online status still says pending when they received our package on September 29, 2008. Since then, my husband has his biometrics, EAD, AP, and GC interview. In 2007 it was never touched or updated and we never knew we were approved of the K-1 until I wised up one day and called NVC only to find our case was in checks there. I swear USCIS hates us.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
