My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

K1: Flew to the U.S. of A. – January 9th, 2008 (HELLO CHI-TOWN!!! I'm here.)

Tied the knot (legal ceremony, part one) – January 26th, 2008 (kinda spontaneous)

AOS: Mailed V-Day; received February 15th, 2007 – phew!

I-485 application transferred to CSC – March 12th, 2008

Travel/Work approval notices via email – April 23rd, 2008

Green card/residency card: email notice of approval – August 28th, 2008 yippeeeee!!!

Funny-looking card arrives – September 6th, 2008 :)

Mailed request to remove conditions – July 7, 2010

Landed permanent resident approved – August 23rd, 2010

Second funny looking card arrives – August 31st, 2010

wow, this is so offensive and i'm not even a christian. but it was amusing, so thanks for posting nevertheless :D

Timeline:

Sent in I-130 form: 01/29/09

Interview Date: 11/08/09 (APPROVED!)

Visa in Hand: 11/12/09

POE: 01/30/10 (!!!!) at JFK Airport in NYC... can't wait!

Got the green card maybe 8 weeks after 01/30/10...

That video could have scared the hell out of me and in a sense it did. That was the kind of God I learned about from the time I was born and attending a Catholic school for about six years. A God that was looking for any excuse to throw me into hell, even by playing dirty tricks. But did watch that video last night before going to bed and didn't have those terrible nightmares I constantly had as a kid.

Like FDR said, the only thing we have to fear is fear itself, the so-called religious sure implanted that fear when I was a young naive little kid, shame on them.
