Found something related to AP on Wiki

Surprisingly, after searching all over the Interwebs for ever-more info on AP to be brought out of the dark, I came upon this. I actually searched for "Security Advisory Opinion" when I came across it on another website and, lo and behold, this:

Don't know how accurate it is, the references are mostly out of date, missing, or the pages removed. If it is accurate, however, (and this being Wiki, is ever an if), it could shed some insight into what a lot of us are having to go through.

From my observation, it looks like the majority of us are going through Visa Donkey.

It is my understanding that the consular can order additional checks until the conulate is satisfied and who know what and when that will be for all the newcomers to AP here is a AP Fact sheet

IF you search this forum you will see one post or thread that explains the difference between AP and AR. AR being the less intense.

this is a rather dated, but includes a more comprehensive country list for the various animals. Although aimed at the visa mantis (typically for work-related visas or people with science backgrounds), this is a more recent overview of the whole processing (2009!) It was written by a law firm in China, though..
