case put on AP after interview

Hi guys well I'm not as happy as i was thinking i will be after the interview...........

The interview went well the CO asked him basic normal questions like where did you meet? what is your wife doing in the US? what is she studying in college?when did you get married? who is gonna support you? and she asked to see the wedding pics and then she said

"Congratulations your visa is approved BUT we need some additional time so your case will be going on Admistrative Process. The process will be about 4-5months and as soon as you see case number online just drop your passport and you can pick it up the same day."

My husband asked if there is anything to worry about and the CO said that your case is perfect nothing to worry about. we just need to do some name checks.

Well after waiting soooooooooo long we have to wait more! Oh well we cant do anything right!

Good Luck to all of you guys!

I am so sorry. Hope you AP goes quick. At least you did some things right in the beginning. I just got an RFE yesterday because I didn't send our Arabic marriage contract with our application. This process sure can wear you out. Hopefully your AP will be shorter than they said.

They said the same for my AP -- but they didn't mention name checks, just that it was a normal process. All my papers were in order and I was approved but I was told I'd have to go into additional processing, so blahhhh...it's likely because I was born in India or something and I don't have a UK birth certificate.

This here is the AP Tracker Forum, so go ahead and join us there -- it also helps the poster keep track of everyone else in AP so we have an idea of processing times. Remember to note country, gender and reason for AP, because it all varies. Just add your husband's name/visa type/reason for AP/gender/etc. to the thread. It also helps knowing that you're not alone and we can all exchange advice or give support and such regarding AP generally.

:) Best of luck to you. May everyone's AP go quickly.

Magpie.

Please read my previous posts about AP, do a search under my topics. Please do not feel alone or disheartened, AP is done on most men in our region but eventually get visa. You will as well.

God bless,

Tam

I am so sorry for the AP I know the worst part is AP is like a slap in the face I never knew it existed until my husband was put on AP I, like you, thought he would go to the interview and in a few days have the visa well 9 months later still no visa I did receive this from the Embassy the other day

Please be assured that the Embassy would not be seeking this required

administrative processing if it were not our intent to issue a visa to

Mr. xxxxxx. However, the final decision on issuance can only take place

after this processing is completed. Regrettably, we are unable to provide

you with any guidance on how long the processing of this case will take.

Please be assured that we will notify Mr. xxxxx once the administrative

processing is complete.

We hope this information will be helpful

I think the worst part is the shock of it all and being so helpless because there is really nothing you can do to speed it up You can write call and shout and nothing will change until they decide to issue the visa.

I am convinced that people undergoing AP will not have to wait has long has people have been waiting

I hope it goes fast for you good luck

hi i am new here...

i just want to share my experience after my interview in US embassy Manila last March 30,2009.

after my interview i was told by the CO that she can't process my visa yet and she didn't asked for any additional documents

then i got a white slip with bold letters stating like this "go to annex lobby for interview at the consular room 1206 at 1pm" on the same day

so when i got there i waited so long like 2 hours and then after two hours i was sent to a small room and asked me to fill out two pages about me and my hubby..then after that i was given another white slip with bold letters stating like this "go to annex lobby for interview at the consular room 1206"but this time no time was stated even a date. so i asked the lady if i can call them and inquire about my case and she said "no we call you". so now me and my hubby are still waiting and its been 2 weeks already. my husband sent a faxed letter and they did response after a few days then my husband called the embassy and he was told that it would take 6 weeks for them to finish the AP and i will be just notify on when to come back. well i hope i can get some advices after posting my worst experience at the US embassy manila

White Slip? Was it a 221G? Did they keep your passport?

I got the same half sheet of white paper with bold letters telling me to go to Room 1206, its the Fraud Prevention Unit or FPU. Id been interviewed like a murder suspect, hate how they do it just because I filed my ex husband Presumptive Death because I haven't seen him for over 10 years now! Glad I'm fond of watching movies I don't freak during the iintrrogation (lol!) just told myself that as long as they don't pour me a pail of water and electrocute, I will keep my calm.

We have waited 18 months since we first met, went through court proceedings so that I can face the embassy with legal papers, yet they still question the court order, duh! It's been past 1 month since my interrogation and honestly, I don't dare follow up, I'm scared so I let my fiance do it. So far he is contacting somebody from their govt. for help and I am praying that they will be able to. I am really discouraged so I am hoping to see results here with members having the same case as mine ...with presumptive death to ex...were they given visa or eventually denied ?

Now I am still waiting for the good news. I already mailed them the documents they asked but I admit I'm already discouraged. I am still employed here and it somehow help me divert my thoughts and yearning for my fiance, I in fact already started convincing him to live here in the Philippines instead, sure he wont be interviewed the way his embassy did me.
