I-130 Processing time

Hi there!

Does anyone know how longe is taking to get approval from USCIS? I filed on 23rd of December 2008 and still no answer!

I received the recipt number but it does not show on the site! Please if you have any information, let me know!

Just wanted to let you know we filed in Feb 2009, and till today it still says on USCIS web site:

Validation Error(s)

You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:

* Your case can not be found at this time in Case Status Online. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283.

So, don't worry, eventually you'll get hard copy in mail. Then you'll know for sure you got your approval. Good luck!

You wil have to wait a little bit more since we got our NOA1 on September 24,2008 and I just got today an email from USCIS that we got approved!!!!! meaning that you it should take a couple months more for you!! hope sooner. Good luck!

You can check the VJ timelines and they will give you a fair idea of how long it will take (although there are always exceptions). Vermont seems to be much slower than California. Best wishes,

Next week will be 6 months and still waiting for my NOA2. I will call next week. My husband wanted to call, but he too is in Canada and couldn't access the number, even with an AT&T calling card. Someone suggested using skype.

I was approved 57 days from NOA1 to NOA2 but I still haven't received the hard copy...I had to call them to find out the status and they said you were approved 3 weeks ago and it's at NVC

Hi Childress! Thanks for update, my wife called from US and they don't answer properly! they just say you have to wait. However I see some people receive approval in less than a month. Did you contact them? What do they answer you? I hope soon you'll receive some answer from USCIS.

Well, my case was never update at USCIS site but we had our NOA2 after I force my husband call like 10 times in 3 days, it was from monday to wed, and sat NOA2 was at mail with a 14 days delay; from day it was aproved in USCIS CSC; maybe u should try call to NVC, some ppl posts says they already had NVC number case with out getting NOA2.

For me call like 3 times day worked preety well in both cases to get NOA2 and case number, from what i been reading vermont seems to be rally slow to process I-130.

I just wanted to ask you if you ever called them personally? Because when my hubby talked to them yesterday on phone and asked if I (beneficiary) could call USCIS for info on our case, the CSO told him that I could, but only after his verbal authorization every time before the call DUH!!!

I don't get it...!!! Then why will I talk to them, and not him???
