"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

Maya means love in my husband's language. 1962 is the year I was born. See? Old people can still fall in love, too! :P

My husband's nick (in our profile), Chyangba, is the word in his language for youngest son, which he is.

Many thanks to the Visajourney community for all the help!

I was looking into starting writing novels (that would be published) and a friend suggested I try romances which is the easiest market to break into. We knew I'd need an alias. My favorite color is red so I typed that into my MS Word and the thesaurus came up with 'cerise'. Roses are my favorite flower. The combination sounded romance-y to me in a sugary sweet way so I figured it would fit the bill.

That was in 1998. I've never written a romance novel, and used this (or some form of it) as my login and email addys ever since. The funniest story was some kid messaging me through Napster way back in the day. On a Friday night. Asking me if I was a porn star. It was only then that it hit me the other implications of my name. Ooops.

;)

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
