Hello all!

I have submitted 485, 131, 765 and 130 for the fourth time now (yes, I'm an idiot) since February and I have some questions for you folks more experienced in this process. Each time I have submitted the packet, I received a 797C rejection notice indicating that I had failed to provide a check for the correct filing fees for each form. For the 131, in addition to the incorrect fee, the form indicated that I need to send the form to the Nebraska Service Center.

When I initially sent the packet, I included one check for 1010. Rejected. The second time I submitted two checks, one for 930 and one for 80. Rejected. I called CIS who advised I made the check out to CIS which was wrong. Third time, I sent two checks in the amount of 930 and 80 made out to US Department of Homeland Security. Rejected. This last time I resubmitted and included checks for 930, 80, 340, 355 and the 131 to Nebraska with a check for 305.

Do you think CIS will accept my latest submission? If not, do you see anything else wrong? I have double checked DOBs and such and have not found any other errors. I'm beginning to get worried and I certainly don't want to be forced to deal with an imm atty to do this.

Thanks and please help.

The correct fee for I-485 / I-130 / I-131 / I-765 filed concurrently is:

$ 1010 (or 930 + 80, it doesn't matter) to US Department of Homeland Security

$ 355 to US Department of Homeland Security.

So, you either send 3 checks (930 + 80 + 355) or 2 (1010 + 355) both made to US Department of Homeland Security.

Do not send the I-131 separately. Send all together to the Chicago lockbox and the fee is waived because filed concurrently with the AOS papers.

Good luck!

AOS Fee (which includes I-485, I-765 and I-131) is $1010 (which includes $80 biometrics). Instructions clearly state who to make the check out to (Payable to) and that a single check is perfectly OK. Check instructions for filing location address.

I-130 Fee is $355 (and is not to be included/merged with the AOS check fee).

Check instructions for filing location address.

So I guess that is good news of sorts and they may return a check or two, no?

Unfortunately, I did send the 131 separately to the Nebraska sc like the 797 that was attached advised. I guess I will have to deal with that but as long as they accept the other forms, i'll be happy. As my luck would have it, the most important thing to my wife right now isn't work, it is being able to travel.

What do you think they will do with my separately filed 131? Any suggestions?

Thanks guys, this is a huge help.
