My dad is 65 and all he really cares about is what type of food will give him gas, how to lower his cholesterol and figuring out where he left his reading glasses. His hobbies include looking for the remote control, eating junk food behind my mom's back, falling asleep while watching tv, and going to yard sales.

her fiance is my father's age...65.

My Dad is nearly 70.....I can't imagine even dating someone who is so much older...40 years older....damn.

  • Feb 13th Applied for I129F
  • May 3rd I129F Approved and sent to Department of State for processing.
  • **Waiting for Notice of I129F approval to show up in the mail!**
  • NOA2 Showed up in mail Wed 24th May 2006
  • ** Nervous as all hell - Still no Instruction packet**
  • ** 27th June Email - Saying Application Approved??? **
  • July 7th Packet 3 Arrived (First one went missing? - this one was marked 'duplicate')
  • Pack 4 arrived 31st July
  • Appointment 18th Aug

Could you imagine DATING your dad? My dad is similar! Concerns include: the grass in the front yard, cracking corny jokes, watching sports with my husband, making sure my brother has a job....

Fun times.

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

Anyway I wouldn't get defensive about questions regarding your fiance's age. Instead, I'd start working on how you are going to answer the SAME comments when they are made by the interviewing officer. They WILL ask.
