Hey everyone:) Just a quick question. In the trip I'm planning to the Philippines, me and my fiancee at that time, are planning on "Hooking up", if you know what I mean. Unfortunitly, one of our concerns is her getting pregnant. As this is a risk when we adults play around  What can we expect should this happen? Can it actually speed up the process of fiancee visa? Can it slow the process? Thanks for all your advice and imput

There are ways to prevent pregnancy you know.... But to answer your question, pregnancy won't slow down or speed up the process. Well, it can slow down you being together, as she may be too pregnant to fly by the time she gets the visa, and thus needs to wait till the child is born.

PS: you posted this in the K3 (spousal visa) forum.

And if the child is born in Phil you then have the extra paperwork to get the child a US passport which can involve DNA testing.

Birth control's also ALOT cheaper than a child.

Don't risk it, use birth control.

The pill and condoms.

Or a combination of 2.

DON"T get her buntis! Some stupid people do and end up with a mess. It may slow things down as the airlines won't let pregnant ladys fly after 7 months. Also bad for kids to fly until they are over 1 month. Also you may have to go thru the cost and hassel of doing a CRBA.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

I have heard of one case in China where a couple was placed before others so the mother could receive medical services and have the child in the US, but I wouldn't count on that happening again. Failure to plan on your part doesn't necessary constitute an emergency on the part of the consulate. If you get lucky, someone might take up your case. I wouldn't risk it.

Dude, seriously, are you like 13 or something? Use a condom, pull that little winkie you call a ####### out of that hole and release it some other place but dont try to use a pregancy to speed up the process. This would back fire on you 100% and besides what happens if you break up, now you put this woman who happens to come from a poorer country into a bad finacial situation, she will also be looked down upon by other pinoy (loss of reputation). Come on man you the head on your shoulders, not the other one.

And in our case, I was able to get a expidite filed based on my wife being preggy....the key word here is WIFE. They could care less for a non-family based petition.

Got to love the fact my wife was preggy and even with a RFE @ NVC she was still here in under 5 months!
