Hey guys,

Looks like almost all is out of AP, congratulations to all of you and I know what a blessing it is to finally be out of it!

I am praying for miamiwife's case to finally receive the visa, I know the waiting is so painful, please everyone, lets send our prayers and positive energy miamiwife's way so that we can see her happiness and her visa in hand post!

-Miamiwife - there is nothing wrong with your case, I began to think I was doomed and never going to get this visa after the 10th month because everyone else seemed to fly through AP, I felt alone, sad, disheartened, all the while giving my happiness and prayers to everyone. I know how hard it is for you right now. DO NOT FEEL ALONE in this! Tell your love everything is fine and he will get the visa soon. Some cases take longer than others, there are no real patterns, you will get the visa Insha-Allah (God-Willing) and it will come in the soonest.

-God bless,

Tam

I will be praying for you, too.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

Thank you so much everyone for your wishes and prayers! I hope this will end soon. I have become so numb over the past 10 months of waiting in AP and wondering if something is wrong or what to do. I hope to give you happy news one of these days. Thanks again for thinking of me.

Believe me girl, I told DOS...just tell me if I'm never gonna get it or if our case is wierd or whatever just say it. Chris laughed and said no...nothing wrong with it.

Imagine 13 months and think what a psycho you would become. So the main reason I brought up this topic is because I KNOW you are becoming numb and going crazy - 10 months, is so hard, that those who have not reach that point will never understand. So keep up your faith and you will get through this.

During my journey, I had Mary, during your journey, I hope that I could be there for you. I too have seen every single person get their visas before me that I was close to...I felt I had a problem, but it was all how our fate unfolds - we are destined to wait or not wait, and I believe that because you had to wait longer than others, you will think twice before arguing about stupid things, appreciate the moments more than you would have if you hadn't had to wait. You will prevail, and we are praying for you so that you and your husband will be together soon.

PS: You and your husband got married almost exactly 1 year after us, I always smile when I see your marriage date. Ours was July 8, 2006 and yours is July 6, 2007.

AP: Over 1 year.

Visa: Nov 2

US Entry: Nov 13, Alhamdulillah.

Miamiwife I hope you hear something soon and yes we have been here from the beginning seeing people come and go I keep thinking and I hope I am not wrong but the worst and the long end of it is behind us

Not that it makes anyone feel better but as I posted earlier I got a letter from the Embassy stating that they cannot give me a time that the AP would be over but if they didnt intend on issuing the visa they never would have done the AP. LOL I feel like Im in a locked cage and I can see the key but I can't reach it.

Right, just remember, that AP means visa, but a late one. If they wanted to deny the case due to a very strong reasion as applicant having a secret wife they found during home visit either prior to interview or soon after, they would not make you wait so long. I am sure both of you will recieve your visas very soon, I know how terrible it feels waiting more than 10 months. Hang in there, there is nothing wrong with your cases, you can do this. Insha-Allah the visas will arrive soon. Praying for you both and everyone else.

Thank you for your prayers. I am telling you, every week I think, "Oh, this will be the week!" Then by the end of the week when I see it is not going to be the week, I get soooo depressed. I just don't understand why this is taking this long. I mean, the embassy told me it was name check. How long does it take to figure out who someone is or is not? My husband has already given up believing we will get the visa. FRUSTRATING! :(

I'll continue to hold you in my thoughts and prayers, miamiwife. Same here with the weeks. The embassy website for Syria always posts the updates on Thursday. I know it's completely illogical, but Wednesdays I, along with my fiance, am always so happy/hopeful, while Thursdays are horrible and only helped by chocolate or running around or doing something completely different. By Friday I'm usually back to hoping. I'm afraid that I am trying to harden myself against feeling - if I don't hope, I won't feel so sad. While that's not something I want to happen, I think in the last month hoping has gotten harder and harder to imagine.

Anyhow, it is wonderful and so encouraging to see posts from folks like Tammy, and to see that you (miamiwife) are holding on!

Honestly, you all are the ones who keep me going forward and believing that someday, someday it will come. What's the longest (out of curiosity) that you know folks have waited for ap on a k1?
