Okay, I'm getting married to my NZ fiancee in June we want to live in the States. We want to get married in NZ but I wont start the immigration process until I get back to Cali. How long should it take to get her here. I want her to have residency when she arrives on day one. Do you think it will take less than a year to get her here? that would be okay as it will give us both time to save money etc... And would I need to go with her to Auckland for an interview? Please let me know your time line :) and I only made 20k last year will this be enough to meet income requirements? Thanks all.

I think with your situation you should going with CR-1 visa. 20K on your income tax last year should be good on poverty guideline ... check out this guideline on your income.

I agreed with Ly Trinh. I'm also on the same boat. We're married and filing for CR1 right now. My hope is her to be here in a year. My fingers are crossed.
