Hello,

I have applied for the K-1 visa for my fiancee this Thursday. I know that the packet was delivered today but I was wondering how do you keep track of what is going on with the case. I see that some applicants see that the NOA1 is issued even before they receive it in the mail. How do you do that? do they send you an e-mail or is there a website you can look up that info?

thanks a lot,

Ovi

You can simply set up an account at the USCIS website. After an account is set up you can log in and see if any progress is being made. Here is the link to set up your account. You will need your account number found on your N0A1. People know the N0A1 is issued because they sent the package with delivery confirmation from the USPS. Good luck

Then you can't yet. You have to wait for a NOA1 for you to do so.

PM me for any AP or AR relating to the NBI

If you have an MNL #, that means your paperwork has been sent through the NVC to Manila. You can call the Department of State to see where you're at in the process... 202.663.1225 (press 1, 0). You will need your MNL case number in order to find out any information. Best of luck to you!

Having your case number does not mean it has been sent on yet (even when you get a letter from the NVC stating they will send it on within one week). Many people recently are getting hung up at the NVC for "additional processing". You should call the NVC at (603) 334-0700 to find out if the case has actually been sent on to the the foreign consulate.
