Hi everyone..Im so happy finally Im one of the member here...Hope you guys can help me my questions as we processing our k-1 visa..I am from Philippines and my Petitioner is from U.S..Does anyone of experinced about the co sponsor for k-1 visa?Does USembassy Manila accept for co sponsor for k-1 visa? My fiance latest income tax is short..but his last three years was enough..but we are thinking that might the cunsul will ask or wont accept about the latest income because of short..Does USembassy accept co sponsor?if not what we will do..Please hope u can help us guys..Thank you very much and God Bless us...

Mostly those who have co-sponsors are approved. You need to prove that the relationship is genuine. Welcome Aboard!!!!!!!!

Jan.6,2010- Mailed to South Dearborn Chicago via Fedex overnight delivery

Jan.7,2010- AOS packet received signed by Chyba

Jan.10,2010- Notice receipt from USCIS

Jan.13,2010- check has been cashed

Jan.14,2010- NOA1 received (hard copy)

Jan.23,2010- Biometrics Appt.received in the mail dated Jan.14,2010

Feb. 1, 2010- Biometrics appointment at 8a.m.

Feb.9,2010 - touched

March 2,2010- AP approved

March 9,2010- Hard copy received

March 12, 2010- I-485 receipt notice for interview

March 18,2010- received letter for initial interview

April 19, 2010- 8 :15 A.M INTERVIEW DATE ( APPROVED 5min.Interview)

APRIL 20, 2010- USCIS website updated card production ordered

the co has the final call. some will, others will not......

Thank you so much for your reply...and yes it depends upon the CO..but at leats some will accept..because I so worried a lot of people said that Usembassy Manila wont accept co sponsor for k-1 visa application...Do you know someone here or friend who also processed with co sponsor,passed and being approved with their k-1 with co sponsor?Im so worried..Thank you so much and God Bless US

the co will be interested in all the reasons why, if going to school that seems to be ok. I have seen it go either way. would be better to take a part time job to be sure of an approval. I am not trying to scare you!!! Just be prepared......

Thank you so much for the replies..Im really hoping that Usembassy Manila accept co sponsor..I will have my k-1 interview for the next monday..Im excited and nervous..what will be the possible questions from the Consul?what is the attire during the interview?What should I show thm and tell them That we are really madly inlove and really have genuine relationship?please give me tips..Thank you very much and God Bless US all..

same as our case were going to have a co-sponsor also but youre a head of us coz youre goig to have interview,ours is were goingt wait for our interview letter.my fiance is also has a problem in latest tax income because of the global crisis.so were going to have a co-sponsor also his mom.so pls inform me after your interview what re the questions ask you by the CO regarding co-sponsor.i hope you will share some information.tnx

Please let me know how this goes too. I havent done any filing yet but I was mostly concerned for the co sponsor for the philippines. My tax return wont prove that I can do it or the past ones, so I'm thinking of using my aunt as a co sponsor, so I would like to know the outcome as well. Thanks.

K-1 TIMELINE

2-12-10: I-129F arrived at CSC

2-16-10: NOA1 issued

2-20-10: NOA1 hard copy received

4-5-10: NOA2 issued

4-9-10: NOA2 hard copy received

4-26-10: Embassy sent Toni a letter

6-9 & 11-10: Medical at SLMEC - PASSED!

7-1-10: Interview - BLUE

7-6-10: Submitted additional evidence of current sustained income (paychecks)

7-13-10: Visa Approved! (FINALLY!!!)

7-19-10: Visa Issued!

7-21-10: VISA IN HAND! (Thank God! The wait is finally over.)

8-26-10: POE: LAX

10-29-10 Wedding

AOS & EAD TIMELINE

4-1-11: AOS Package arrived at Chicago Lockbox

5-2-11: NOA issued for AOS & EAD

5-6-11: NOA hard copy received for AOS & EAD

5-6-11: Biometrics appointment letter received

5-20-11: AOS Package was transferred to CSC

5-26-11: Biometrics appointment

5-26-11: EAD approved (that was faaaaaaasst!)

10-3-11: AOS finally approved!
