Once you send the AOS/IV documents to NVC, how long does it take to show up in their system? The AVR system still has not been updated and the operator has told me they are not in their system yet. I believe my lawyer mailed them last week. Thanks in advance.

It depends on how and where you sent it from. For instance, for our DS-230, my husband sent me everything first. I sent it from US to NVC on 1st April and they had in their facility on April 2nd at 10:30am. However, they did not put it in their system till 6th of April. In short, from the moment they get, it takes on average 3 business days. That's what we've noticed so far. It takes time to update, so do not depends on AVR. Best source for info is to talk someone @ NVC.

I-129F (K-3):

08/11/2008: NOA1

02/17/2009: I-129F NOA2: Approved in 190 days from NOA1 date

<not pursuing I-129F petition further but NVC forwarded case to Consulate on 02/24/2009>

NVC Journey:

02/19/2009: NVC Received/Case number assigned for I-130

02/20/2009: DS-3032 sent by e-mail and 03/04/2009: DS-3032 sent by regular mail

02/26/2009: NVC received DS-3032 Choice of Agent selection

02/26/2009: DS-3032 accepted and AOS Bill Generated but not IV Bill

Asked your lawyer for the confirmation number, check with USPS or the carrier your lawyer sent out. After that check with NVC. My paperwork only take less than 4 days for NVC received, with my USPS confirmation, and take them 2 or 3 days for them to input in the system. Good luck. That's the way I find out where is my paperwork.
