What if you sent your application to CSC rather than VSC

Hello Folks,

Hope you all are doing well and ready for Easter. I have two theories/questions.

1- I was wondering like all my other VJers who sent their I-751 to VSC and are stuck what if a person sends to CSC rather than VSC. Will they get declined or

will their application be rejected.

Man rather move to place or have a mailing address which comes under CSC than VSC, i wish i had applied to CSC. Also of Jan, Feb 2009 are getting approved in CSC :(.

2- Did VSC send June till October 2008 or June Till September 2008.

VSC seems to not approving much of May 2008 cases, i guess due to H1 B season, so in May will VSC start processing October 2008 or September 2008. I hope at the end of this month, they update processing time of I-751 to May 20 2008.

What do you say. Your input will be appreciated.

Thanks and have a wonderful weekend.

I'm not sure how to answer the second question, sorry.

As for #1, the application submitted will be forwarded to the correct service center, which seems logical. I am not sure for others but my husband's former co-worker mistakenly mailed his I-751 application to CSC, his home address is under VSC's jurisdiction and his application was forwarded to VSC. The unfortunate thing is that it caused further delay.

Ok so i just heard on Latino tv, that H1 usually fills up within 2 days about 65000 apps get approved, but this year because of the economy they havent received half that amount yet and its already been a week, they are blaming it on the economy and other factors, apperently less people want to come here "Legaly"lol, but then ####### is taking VSC so long????????

The applications will be returned, you will receive it back with a notice "please send your application to the correct address".

It seems that the funny answer is: YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE PROCESSED TWICE AS FAST :D

I think that's a little understatement. CSC norm is 3 months, VSC norm is 12 months, so it's QUADRUPLE as fast.

ok, well... talking about the uneven speed between the two centers, kind of don't want to start this because I know lots of VJers are going to join in venting and sometimes I'm reading others stories are worse than me so I always feel bad. Anyways, I just simply think that the masterminds who caused the uneven number of cases distribution and behind this TSC to VSC, VSC to CSC switch are the ones who should feel bad. Feel bad is an understatement as well. *Remember what Iowa Senator Charles Grassley said to AIG?* They claimed on their website that there was a significant increase of applications on year 2007. So on year 2008 when they decided to narrow down the processing centers into two major ones (which we now know is VSC and CSC), WHAT THE HECK WERE THEY THINKING? They should have known better and had the statistics in hands about some states have more population/application/approved 2 yr GC in year 2007 than others, especially New Mexico and Texas. They weren't exactly dividing the states into East and West either. Why can't they use the statistics to evenly divide up the case loads between the two processing centers so the timeline for both centers can be equal/even, perhaps 6 months and 6 months instead of 3 months and 12 months.

Sigh! Anyone understand/get what I'm saying? Serious frustrations for folks at VSC, especially folks who got moved from first TSC then VSC then CSC. Let alone to talk about the chances of losing files when transferring. Other please feel free to express your opinions about what went wrong and how can they fix the uneven problem.

Talking about the uneven distribution, refer to this website for PERSONS OBTAINING LEGAL PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS BY STATE OF RESIDENCE: FISCAL YEARS 1998 TO 2007

http://www.dhs.gov/xlibrary/assets/statist...007/table04.xls

I painted a US map and colored the excel spread sheet (Couldn't attach them, files are too big), just to see what's the difference in population for LPR in comparison of VSC and CSC. It shows that the immigrant population for the states belong to VSC jurisdiction is much greater than CSC.

Total VSC Year 2007 609,071

Total CSC Year 2007 437,941

Although, the data doesn't represent specifically about the 2 yr conditional GC because I couldn't find them, but that should still tell you something about what I meant by uneven case loads. If someone can find that data, please post the website or let me know. I'm sure everyone under VSC jurisdiction here would like to show USCIS/DHS about how "no-brainer" is their method of dividing VSC/CSC jurisdiction. Anyone else please feel free to comment about the statistics. Also feel free to point out if I mis-colored any state, I did double check but it's kind of late and I'm a little tired after a long day of work.

Well, at least, for your increased fee and long wait at VSC, you now get a lovely message from the VSC director as

well as a special pouch to store your GC in. Your dollars at work!
