plzzz help i 864 q#21

Hi people, i am filling out the i 864 and im stuck at Q21

it says at first done count anyone twice.

then it counts me, then the person i am sponsoring which is my hubby

then if married says put 1 i did

then it says if you have children put number, i have 1 so i put one...

then tells add it up....

it adds up to 4, but we are 3

please help what to doo!!!

I believe you don't need to enter 1 for "If you are currently married, enter "1" for your spouse." since your spouse is already counted as an intending immigrant from line 10 (21a) and documents tells you not to count the same person twice.

For the purpose of that form, your husband only counts as the person you are sponsoring, and not as your spouse. Basically, you need to put "0" instead of "1" for your spouse. That'll leave you will you=1, person you are sponsoring=1, your child=1 which adds up to 3. Does that make sense?

ya ya guys that does make sense, thanks alottttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt i was soo worried about this one simple thing the stress it caused me i feel like some one has beaten me up and im allll bruised LOL....but now it seems that simple!!

Agree with others, put 1 for 21a since your husband is the immigrant and leave 21c blank. That's what I did for my wife, no issues.

thanks a lot every one, i finally sen #######, ahh i felt like i got hundred pound weight off of my head jsut sending it!!!ill keep my fingers crossed...plzzz no RFE's.... :D
