Jamerican, you have to realize that VJ is all about people offering their advice or opinions. Don't let it get to you because people may not agree with your decisions, because in the end only you have to deal with it. Not us... Wish you all of the best in whatever you choose to do.

I'm lonely because my hubby is in Florida visiting his brother until May 4th.

Is anyone here living in Miami or Ft. Lauderdale? I will be there for one week 5/25-5/31 and would love to link up if there's any yardies there. Let me know.

hey VJ family, well it is actually WARM in chicago, so i am preparing to hit the streets.

Lovesponge, swallow those nerves, look them right in the face and own that interview until you get the outcome you deserve. Kick Azz!

last night Ryon called and was telling me that he felt lonely too. i love when men express a true emotion. I told him to look at old pictures and letters to feel loved again, so we starting laughing about the first letter he wrote me that i still cant understand. then i watched the movie 'made of honor" and starting feeling sad and lonely too.

BUT the sun is out and so am I.

have a wonderful day - my Trevor got invited to a Hanna(tramp)(jk) Montana birthday party so i need to find an "everybody makes mistake" gift!!!!!!

Move to Jamaica?i would love to live in Ja, if i could afford it ...and all that that implies!@ i love the people, geography, warm water and FOOOD!!! (tonight i'm craving a perfectly ripe still warmed from the sun: Mango) if Jamaica was not under siege by poverty, desperation and gun/drug mania.....Many would return . I can only pray that those who do come back with courage and vision ...and money and the will to make changes. I hope i can retire in a couple years, and go home to a safe and thriving country. and i'll do my part. See you there? culture1

Brycie's school has summer camp aswell, but sometimes I put her in into other programs so she can meet some different kids than those at her school. They are all expensive. As far as the vacation, we have done both disney world, disney land,sesame place and hershey park so we are not going there. I don't want to do a amusement park this year.

With this visa process, and me travlin back and forth to Jamaica, I don't see the funds for a cruise either, so it may be going to visit some friends and family in GA or FLA.

Roxie I feel you on that one, I have been spending so much money on this whole process. I feel like my little girl is missing out. I threw her a big Hanna Montana birthday party last month and we are going to see the movie tommorrow, but she is the only child and is spoiled rotten. Lately she has been so good though she has not asked for anything, I wonder if she knows (mommy's broke). I am planning a family wedding where she also participates in the ceremony and gets a ring and pretty dress so she doesnt feel left out.

I just got done watching Made of Honor and I enjoyed this movie. At first it started off kind of slow and corny but after a while I was chuckling and really enjoying it. Why is it all morning mi phone not ring and as soon as I was into the movie it rings off the hook. Talk about bad timing!

Wow how wonderful!!! She wasn’t even gone two weeks. What a neat experience to enter the US with your hubby. Its funny when leaving Jamaica its always a bummer to enter the US but I'm sure tomorrow it will be the best thing eva. I would have mixed emotions about 2morroew if I was her. I would be happy because I have my husband with me and we can start to enjoy life together but then I would be bummed because I know there wouldn’t be any trips back to JA for a while...

I know you are problably hearing negativity from everyone around you and VJ is usually the place where you can get some positive vibes but WE just care about you and want you to be safe, its all LOVE.

That is true. I think part of it is also in how things are phrased. You can warn someone of something, or offer advice, or even get across something negative. But you CAN do so in a positive way. I have this argument with a friend of mine all the time. He claims he doesn't sugarcoat his words. I point out to him that if you want people to take your "medicine" then coat it with something smooth instead of coating it with thorns.

Instead of "Don't move there. You'll get shot. You'll go broke. Your relationship will end."

A person would be much more receptive to "Since you're making this big a move, you've probably already considered the increase in violence and high cost of living. I hope you enjoy the experience and that your relationship with your man grows stronger."

You've gotten across the same concerns, but in a much more positive way.
