Okay, so I just tried the # again and instead of selecting #2 for the NIV section, I selected #3 for IV (even though I know K-1 is not considered that). After listening to the recorded message, it seems on that part you have the option of speaking to someone on Mondays & Fridays between the hours of 1:30 & 3:30 (which I missed by about 10 minutes). I'm going to try it on Monday! I might make someone mad at me for calling about a different kind of visa but I just put in my 3RD REQUEST to the consularkingst addy this afternoon. I've given them WELL OVER the 5 day response time for the last two messages! Just tell me you have the form! That's ALL I want to know....then I will chill! :clock::(

Plus Nat, u want him to know u cannot just role out money for everything on the spot...that plays a big part in when he gets here and what he will be prepared for..even if u can.

TRUE TRUE Kimmy! I couldn't agree more. I try to go by this very same philosophy in my relationship even if it hurts me to hear his struggles. He has to do whatever he can to make things work for him. And he has to know now that I won't be in the role of 'Mommy'....I'm his partner and we have equal responsibilities to take care of things.

OKAY KIMMY! ME DONE! Now I can chat normal again.

 Right...he survived before he met you.

Hi Ellis - not my anniversary...not until January.

Yep! That's what I find myself saying a lot! When he comes here and has to depend on me, it'll be a different story for a little while but in the meantime, he's going to have to figure out how to get along just as he always has.

See what happens when I try to catch up and don't quote everything?? I forget who and what I'm congratulating!:blush::lol:

Cleaning out my inbox and finding some funny jokes that I saved from years ago....here's one that reminds me a little of JA patois!

Boudreaux And Clarence

Boudreaux live across de bayou from Clarence who he don like at all. Dey all de time yell across de bayou at each other.

Boudreaux would yell to Clarence, "If I had a way to cross dis bayou I'd come over dere an pass my fis by you jaw good, yeah!"

Dis went on for years. Finally de state done built a bridge across dat bayou right by dere houses and Boudreaux's wife Marie say, "Now is you chance Boudreaux. Why don you go over dere an beat up Clarence lak you say."

Boudreaux say "ok" and start across de bridge but he see a sign on de bridge an he stop to read it and then he go back home.

Marie say, "Why you back so soon?" and Boudreaux say "Mais Marie I don change my mind about beat up Clarence.

You know Marie dey got a sign on dat bridge what say Clarence 13' 6". You know, he don look near dat big when I yell at him from across de bayou...!"

KK..this is too grown up for u

Yes ma'am it's too grown for me. :innocent:

I agree with you Shem about the experience - taking a route taxi / travelling by bus in JA is definitely an experience that you should have at least once.

lol my husband came here and was like  when he saw the buses and taxis

I couldn't believe so many people get into one car. Sometimes the kids from school be hanging out the window of the station wagon taxi. Just doesn't seem safe. But it looks fun..

Yeah..that's what I remembered. Being able to call at certain times. I called and they gave me the interview date over the phone..before the letter reached my house.

Just make sure you call on Monday and that is Jamaica time not California time. It'll definitely be busy at 1:30 but don't give up keep calling.
