SUS, i know, i know.. but it was so crowded in OChi, it was unreal, buses from Kingston and all over the island, it was azz packed, we got to Priory and plus the gates opened at 4pm, it was like 9 when we decided to go into town and then figured we would have sh*tty seats, so we just went to the beach instead.

Oh my, the rompin shop party was also something to behold, pure sex it seemed. they were recording it and projecting it onto this big screen while we were there and after i saw some chic finger herself i was thru....LOL... i was like ok, time to go home, ive seen enough...LMAO...and D just standing there looking unfazed....hahaha

Morning all! I am working from home today, so I am still sitting here in my pjs!

Nice! If I didn't have two meetings today, I might work from home too. Meanwhile, I still need to get out of bed.

----------

So I'm frustrated by this police record process. The record itself is only $23. However, the process of renting a car for 2 days, going from Negril to Kingston, staying overnight, etc.... brings the total cost closer to $230!

There HAS to be a better way to get this police record! I just haven't found one.

THEN, I wake up & saw several more VSC approvals... for people who submitted after me. WHERE IS MY APPROVAL???

girl-hop pon di bus

There IS, let him take the BUS and do what he needs to do and come back the SAME day!!

I did it for job interviews when I lived in Kingston.

No disrespect to your SO, but sometimes if you want good yuh nose haffi run.

Renting a car for 2 days, staying in a hotel etc is something only the WEALTHY could afford to do in Ja, everyone ELSE would get up early and take the bus and deal with it.

Please don't be offended, but cha....

I see I was late, exactly, JAE

ok..so i have to do a persuasive speech in 2 wks..i wanted to maybe to PRESCHOOL SHOULD BE MANDATORY? anybody have any takes on this? i strongly believe kids need to be stimulated..imagine a 5yr old going to school for the 1st time

well, its a good topic

but- I know in many programs if a child is advanced (per the pre-screening process) then they are not allowed to attend state preschools

Kimmy, i don't like the word 'mandatory',

what word would u use that would say schools should provide preschool programs

oh. you mean preschools should be mandatory for SCHOOLS

well... how abotu the word developed

talking about the school needs to develop to a higher standard of foundational environments

I think it's a good topic and you should be able to find a lot of research on it.

Since it's a persuasive speech you might want to also include how you would suggest funding this mandatory program (tax $, coupling with Federal programs already established like NCLB). I think you could probably find a lot of research on that too.

yes, exactly..i am still working on that part...my thoughts were to use tax money.we use it for all kinds of ish anyways..plus on maybe some kind of sliding scale

sus..this site is awesome

yes, but I know my county alone was cut 3.3 billion dollars this upcoming year because of the economy and losing tax$

that might be hard to support. unless you talked about taking money from something else and placing it in education - that could work

Kimmy i agree i think it would be a good speech, there is much data out there to support your topic also.

Hell ,my bright azz put my youngest son in the Montessori program before he started preschool, he started at 4 i think, yall know Montessori is more sensory learning, thinking this would better prepare him since Montessori is supposed to be so hyped, that boy was dumb as a stump when he came out and no more prepared to deal with Pre-K than if he hadnt gone, only thing it did was help him adjust to a school routine...LOL

Renewing your vows is reafirming your commitment, so why do you feel the need to say the vows again so soo. I would think when you made it on day one, the vows are supposed to be affirmed for life. So, why so soon?

Our plan is to do our wedding in JA our way, and then either do a renewal of vows or just a big party here later on, so that people who didn't attend in JA will be there. Reality is, I can't picture doing the renewal of vows, mainly cause I can't picture my wedding here without my Dad - so I am leaning towards the big party.

KK - do some research on the internet on vow renewal ceremonies. You are not getting married nor do you have say wedding vows again. It's your day so do whatever you want. I found some good info but they are at work. Let me know if you want me to share.

I want to renew ours on our 5th anniversary next January. I think we may have anniversary party now because I know my family and friends may not be able to travel to JA right after Christmas and we're renew sometime in the future but not on our actually anniversary date.

On VJ being married more than a year is HUGE in my book - especially with the visa process, merging two cultures and families together, age difference, etc.

Thanks Shemmy. Please share the information.
