You have plenty pets KK.. I gotta love you for that!!

Did you find it hard being a teen parent? I don't think it was that hard. I had my son when I was 15. I didn't get to enjoy my teenage years and had to grow up really fast but I look at it like this.. I am still young and get to enjoy me 30's

U had to grow up really fast shot so did I . I had my oldest when I was 19 and I was fresh out of high school and on my way to college and here he came. My hat goes off to all the mothers out there who finished college with kids. I just couldn’t manage. Well first of all I was never big into school and then with a baby on top of that I just gave up. I thought I was grown so I moved out of my parents house even though I didn’t have to and well I been on my own since then. My parents do help out a lot but never enough in my eyes.(lol) After that I had my daughter then the twins then got married and now here I am wishing I just would have slowed mi fass rass down. I hate that I never had a chance to to do the wild crazy college life. I never had a chance to see what it was like to only take care of myself. Now I’m grown with kids and I want to have the fun I never did.. I don’t really go out that much the club and bar scene is nothing I fancy but I love to travel. I want to go everywhere. Its crazy if I‘m out of town I love going to the clubs but here in my own city I pass. I get tired of looking at the same ole people every day.

And I guess what amazed me was that he felt the need to sit there telling me all of this like it was something good.

Wow this is so deep!!! It really makes you sit back and think. You know what sucks is that with so many Jamaicans doing this to woman how do you truly know that you found someone that loves you for you and not for what you can do for them. I know talking a lot to Roc he would tell me some stories about that his buddies told him. I always wondered did his buddies really tell him this or is this some of his past stories. It’s so hard. The thing I liked most with Roc is that to me our relationship was never roses and raspberries and man oh man did we have our share of arguments and disagreements. He started out the sweetest thing eva but ova time his true colors came out or so I thought and he made me think he was different from the rest. He never asked for anything and he had no intentions of coming to the states. He knew I was married and so I thought everything was cool. The way we ended though honestly I'm not too sure. I look back over our relationship and look for clues to tell me where he was being fake or phony and honestly I just don’t see any ..Things that make you go hmmmmmm....

MAWNING LADIES!!!

QUOTE (solsoeur @ May 30 2009, 09:19 AM)

QUOTE (JaEnglishGirl @ May 30 2009, 08:41 AM)

QUOTE (sus @ May 29 2009, 10:23 AM)

All and all, the trip was a good one – lots of quality time, lots of family time – And meeting JAEng was awesome, we had an instant connection and it was like I met my long lost sister!

Awww, same here, that's why I've been stalking you ever since LOL!

Had two very interesting conversations in JA which seemed very relevant to the board.

They have some people employed as 'Tourism Corps', basically for tourist information etc.

Got talking to one of the guys, he was decent looking, very clean cut. He told me he had been with his childhood sweetheart for 15 years, they had two kids together and lived together. He said he had met this American woman who fell in love with him, and even though his 'wife' didn't like the idea, he was going to marry her, come to the States and diverced her as soon as he could and bring his kids and the girlfriend over.

I asked him how on earth his girlfriend was happy with him doing that. He said that she wasn't too happy, but she realized that it was for the kid's best interest and even for their best interest as a family. He went on to say he took his American woman round to meet her and the kids. He said his mother was a christian, and while she wasn't too happy either, she didn't condemn it because he had to do what he had to do. Said his mother talked to his American girlfriend all the time, cooked for her etc.

Another thing he said that he was using to justify the whole scenario is that he said his American girl was older and had on 'weight', so she couldn't possibly expect to get a young, fit guy like him for her own just like that.

Asked him if he mentioned that to her, he laughed.

Just shook my head.

On my last day there, this couple was sitting beside me on the beach. She was English, he was Jamaican. He was being very attentive to his wife, rubbing suntan oil on her, kissing her, giving her little hugs, laughing with her.

So, a guy passed by and made a comment to me, I answered him with an insult in patois, so the husband started CRACKING up and started talking to me.

He said he was a 'beach boy', he went around and slept with the tourists to make a living. Said he did it to survive. So he was telling me, while he slept with ugly women, huge women, nasty women, he was on the look out for one he could 'stomach' living with until he got his stay.

He told me his wife was cool, he liked her because she was naive, believed any story he told her, any excuse he came up with. Said he made up his mind there he was going to marry her because he would be able to 'do his thing'.

They had been married for 6 months, and they were in Jamaica for a month, he boasted of how he had his girlfriend come down and stay in the same hotel and told his wife she was his cousin. Laughed about his wife bringing down clothes for his girlfriend.

I was taken aback, speechless. And he was saying most of this with his wife just out of earshot, but while attending to her needs. She probably thought she was in PARADISE, had the most thoughtful, solicitous husband ever.....

And I guess what amazed me was that he felt the need to sit there telling me all of this like it was something good.

woowwwwww this is so sad but so true and it makes you question certain things... i have been asked by guys in JA to bring up some white friends so they can marry a jamaican!!!! when this a$$hole asked me this i was like first of all how do you know i even know any white ppl lmao! and hell no the going rate for a set up marriage in NYC is $7000 U.S and i know damn well yall dont got that! i dont understand why would you do that to someone how can you prosper by tricking someone into you loving them??? it's like a pandemic down there with that ####### i hate it and sometimes i even feel a certain way being down there with Jay i always wonder who is thinking that about me??? my friend so or whatever he is to her we was in JA one week and he had a english chick coming to marry him the next week, my friend fount out going thru his wallet and phone and fount western union papers and all type of text messages so she called her and let her know everything so he ended up not getting married to her but while i was downthere by myself he made a comment like im tired of your friend she dont do anything for me hook me up with one of your friends she can be fat just make sure she have money!!!! it's just sooo sad im not worried about my friend cause she plays the ish out of him all the time but just thinking about some of these guys mentality ohhh and he is always protesting how he dont like or date Jamaican women and all his 5 baby mothers are American!!!

Morning!

It's SO hard to get out of bed on Monday mornings!

I know the feeling...I snoozed for 40 minutes this morning. That's 5 times...each snooze gives me 8 minutes.

 I do that often, too. Fortunately, I didn't have any early meetings today, so I didn't set my alarm clock at all. Woke up around 8 on my own.

I combined the name, age, relationship status, & kids information that everyone has submitted so far. I figure it can be my personal reference to help me remember stuff about each of you.

If anyone else wants the combined version, I can PM it to you.

U just HAVE to mek a list ey??? LOL

What can I say? I like numbers & data. When I was in high school, I thought about going into accounting. But I took an accounting class my junior year and it was SOOOOOO boring. But I did end up minoring in math.
