Afternoon Yardies!

Well, just checking in real quick since we're at an internet cafe in Negril. We went to our 7:00 a.m. interview yesterday and......

WE WERE APPROVED!! :dance::dance::dance:

I'll post more upon my return in 2 weeks since I don't anticipate being back at a computer until then. I'll tell you all that it went pretty smooth & we were out of there by 9:00 a.m. The ladies that saw us were both very nice. We managed to navigate our way through Kingston although we had a few hairy moments with him not being used to driving in city traffic & me trying to help him with road signs. We also stayed at the Prestige the night before & I highly recommend it.....decent price, A/C, good food & very close to the embassy. Now we just wait for the visa which God & embassy willing will only take 5 days....please pray for us so he can come home with me!

No time to catch up.....gonna have a lot of pages to read when I get back but hope everyone is good!

Lata!

Congrats Ells! It seems like this has been a long time coming for you guys. I know that his visa will be in hand and he will be seated next to you on the plane for you to see his reaction to take off and landing! So exciting!

Hey ladies I know I have been MIA for a while but I do miss chatting with you all. My boo is adjusting well and even started driving. We went to Ft Lauderdale last weekend, and he drove all the way and back. I am sooo happy I think the happiest I have ever been. It has not been all peaches and whip cream though we have had our disagreements, but we have found a way to work through our differences.

Congrats to all of you with NOA1's and 2's or any forward movement

Welcome back Sus, I cant wait for the update (((((hugs)))))

Congrats Ells, next time you post your honey should be by your side at home looking at you cross eyed (like what you doing) like mine is doing right now, its priceless

My heart goes out to DaDa and Honey, (((((hugs))))) I appplaud your strength. I almost ended my journey as well a few months ago after my last trip and even though I am glad I didnt do it, most women would have in the situation I was in. I wish you the best.

Hey LoveS...love to hear the adjustment story is going so well. Keep peeping in and checking on us.

Hey Lovesponge! Good to see you checking in girl! And glad your sweetie is adjusting well. Just remember that your journey didn't end just because your SO received his visa...having a loving, wonderful, and successful marriage is the journey that you are on that is never-ending...I know you guys are busy with living your lives, but don't forget to stop in every now & then... Good luck with everything to come! :star:

Hey Mrs. P. Do you think your visa journey is progressing at the speed you wanted? I think you wanted an interview in September right?

Hey Ladies!!!

CONGRATULATIONS ELLS!!!!!!!!

welcome home sus!! and that's all I can remember...........

Anyway about the Fat (fluffy, etc.) comments, when i was growing up in JA most men refer to women either as fatty bum bum, or slims... It wasnt something we took offense to... Up to this day people in my family probably don't know my real name cause they have called me bonz all my life.... SHHHH!!! I used to drink all kinda shakes and stuff trying to gain weight cause in JA (atleast when I was growing up there) the men love thick girls! So when I moved here and it wasnt the same I was shock. But even today my friends that that grew up in JA that are on the thicker side have no issues with their weight.... When my mom was diagnose with diabeties and the doctor told her to lose weight she cussed up a storm saying she going to look like a string!!! She was 5'5 and 180. So if your are health and happy with yourself then do your thing...

sus (((((((((chupssss))))))))))))))

K; mi afi agree it's the culture for some men not all. I've been called "bubbler" from I was a little girl and it never bothered me and I'm stilled called than when I'm at home....you hear anything yet? Link me on yahoo later.

********************************************************************************

....when it hurts to look back and you're scared to look ahead LOOK beside you and I'll be there.....

There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore... and who always will.

So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

Hello ladies... just stopping by to say hi. Hope ya'll had a good day. I just can't wait for tomorrow... I'm so ready for the weekend. My sis-in-law just called me to say she is in the hospital. She is having TWINS!!! Identical girls... she will be induced at 4am! Can't wait to see them lil mamas! She went through the process as well. Her hubby was on here, Trulo. They are both Jamaican. She is my best friend, my husband is her brother. Because of her there would be no Mr&MrsBuggy! lol

That explains how your hubby did a good job at surprising you at work.

I just couldn't understand how he was that good at doing it without you even knowing.

Big ups...Mr. Buggy!!!

oh and i must say thanks for the suggestions for where to stay in mobay.....me and richard ended up staying at the glorianna inn last month and we were pleasantly impressed......it was not a 5 star hotel but i was cheap, clean, convenient location, great staff, etc and we are planning to stay there again next month when me and my mom take the babies down for fathers day and their birthday next month......the only down fall is that its not so close to ochi and i didnt get to see anyone last time i visited......i think we are going to take one day this trip and spend the day in ochi so the family can see the babies

Yankeesgirl - The Hotel Gloriana - When my auntie got married last year some of my family stayed there so I’m a little familiar with it. I thought it was a little too far walking back at night from M’ville (and then they walked back one night from Pier One) but it was a lot of us so it was ok. Overall I liked it (not a five star) but thought it was something I wanted to try out on one of my return trips and maybe reserve a block of rooms for family to stay again for my wedding. But I have read so many bad reviews that I have been hesitant. So you would recommend staying here?

Glorainna huhhhhh I know where that is…(sniff sniff)

DaDa - don’t mean to add to your sniffles :( but you’re a Mobay girl, would you recommend it? Have you ever stayed at Toby’s?

I personally didn't care for Glorianna. One of my online friends stays there for months at a time...we even requested "her room". The room was awful - dirty, music too loud from the pool, little tv. However, my friend stayed a few doors down and her room was nicer. They would not swtich my rooms and it was not hardly full. I would stay there again if I had no choice and Damien will NEVER stay there again...he won't even look it when he ride pass it

Welcome back Sus.

really? we never have any problem. one time hubby went down a night early to get the room and such and when I came the next morning, the owner called to see if that room was ok for us (it was a smaller room) and I said it was okay but she insisted we get a better room so she had the bell hop show us three more rooms.

They will do that. They show you the rooms before you pick which one you want.

But they also knew us from before because I first went there with a fairly large mission group.

The pool DOES get loud, but it didnt bother us. Our room was always clean.

Yeah, it was a bad experience for us. They were super rude, the room sucked and coulnd't get any sleep. The owener came the day we checked out but it was too late...Damien made up his mind by then. We stood outside agruing over it...he refused to stay there. I would try to stay there again.

she lives there  You know if youre at the bar and you look up and one section on the top is barred in? thats where she lives

Hey ladies just want to say thanks to everyone who sent me PM's, they are much appreciated.

The journey may not have ended, time will tell. i am still numb, still angry, still undecided. Dont know if im ready to walk away or work it out, fight it out, or start over. All i can say, as many have told me, if it is meant to be it will be, only time will tell.

Peace

Honey

Honey, I'm a true testimony of that fact. Follow your gut Chica, you won't go wrong. (F)

yes, very idle of me

i'm fluffy, fat, champion, strong....what other adjective am i missing here?

i've very tall though so the weight is fairly evenly distributed

What's the meaning of that Bunz? And what's the story of your name Bunzarelli?????

champion is in reference to horse racing i believe. comparing you to a strong, sturdy horse

i guess its like calling a man a stallion

bunzarelli is a derivative of bunz which my hubby calls me

it comes from us being very idle and childish and playing dirty games lol
