Does anyone have a Verizon home phone?? I heard from someone that for 19.99 a month you can get 500 minutes. I'm not sure if that is true but worth checking it out.

I had Vonayge before and I hated them. My call always got dropped and the reception was the worst. I dropped them like hot pancakes...

By the way... Comcast has worldwide minutes that include JA for $14.95/month you get 300 minutes - but they are only to landlines.

I don't think I even know anyone in JA with a landline phone...

I'm with you on that!

Hey ladies I know I have been MIA for a while but I do miss chatting with you all. My boo is adjusting well and even started driving. We went to Ft Lauderdale last weekend, and he drove all the way and back. I am sooo happy I think the happiest I have ever been. It has not been all peaches and whip cream though we have had our disagreements, but we have found a way to work through our differences.

Congrats to all of you with NOA1's and 2's or any forward movement

Welcome back Sus, I cant wait for the update (((((hugs)))))

Congrats Ells, next time you post your honey should be by your side at home looking at you cross eyed (like what you doing) like mine is doing right now, its priceless

My heart goes out to DaDa and Honey, (((((hugs))))) I appplaud your strength. I almost ended my journey as well a few months ago after my last trip and even though I am glad I didnt do it, most women would have in the situation I was in. I wish you the best.

Hey Lovesponge! Good to see you checking in girl! And glad your sweetie is adjusting well. Just remember that your journey didn't end just because your SO received his visa...having a loving, wonderful, and successful marriage is the journey that you are on that is never-ending...I know you guys are busy with living your lives, but don't forget to stop in every now & then... Good luck with everything to come! :star:

Hey Love!

It's good to hear from you! It won't be all peaches and cream completely in the beginning, I believe. You guys have to become accustomed to each other in another , 100% together type of way but I'm glad everything is working out!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!! You guys are reading my mind. My MIL in Jamaica has diabetes with high blood pressure. She worsened over the past few days not eating just lying in bed due to weakness. She will prolly have to be admitted to the hospital as I am typing. Which one is worse type 1 or 2. She does not have to take insulin just pills which one is that? My gf's mother lost 2 toes and is totally blind from diabetes or sugar(thats what they call it in Ja). Please keep my MIL in ur prayers :(:(

She is definitely in my prayers. My ex-FIL has it and is legally blind. He doesn't take care of himself correctly. My mother's best friend's daughter has it too and she has had several comas...blindness and total kidney failure. Diabetes is serious and very dangerous.

One of my very dear associate pastors had to have both his legs amputated and last year he passed away and then one of the little girls in my son's school slipped into a coma and passed away because they did not take care of themselves correctly. It is very serious and dangerous but I think gestational diabetes can be more easily controlled if you know you are at risk so I'm glad you are paying attention to the possibility and taking preventative methods.

1luv your MIL is in my prayers. (F)

Hi All!

I am home  and back at work! The trip was good - will give more details later on, right now I have a zillion things to catch up on -

Afternoon Yardies!

Well, just checking in real quick since we're at an internet cafe in Negril. We went to our 7:00 a.m. interview yesterday and......

WE WERE APPROVED!! :dance::dance::dance:

I'll post more upon my return in 2 weeks since I don't anticipate being back at a computer until then. I'll tell you all that it went pretty smooth & we were out of there by 9:00 a.m. The ladies that saw us were both very nice. We managed to navigate our way through Kingston although we had a few hairy moments with him not being used to driving in city traffic & me trying to help him with road signs. We also stayed at the Prestige the night before & I highly recommend it.....decent price, A/C, good food & very close to the embassy. Now we just wait for the visa which God & embassy willing will only take 5 days....please pray for us so he can come home with me!

No time to catch up.....gonna have a lot of pages to read when I get back but hope everyone is good!

Lata!

Ells I am soooo happy for you we were all on edge waiting to hear ..

congrats

There is a private group for people from this thread (you can't search for it). There is also a public VisaJourney group. For the private one, you have to be invited by a mod. Sus is one, and there are several others.

Lovesponge, it's great reading your update! Hopefully your man doesn't think you're TOO crazy for being on here.

Also, isn't this thread usually shut down around page 300? Where's Hotlegz with pt 15?
