Okay the Fluffy conversations brings up the following question:

What is considered "FAT" , "Thick" and "Fluffy"?

Do they all mean the same? Or is each one a different stage?

I'm not skinny but don't really consider myself fat, thick, or fluffy. I guess I better just leave it that way.

If you have to ask the question, you're not in the club

So there is a CLUB????

J/K

 KK - good question though. When I was smaller, my heavier friends would invite me to Big Girl cabarets...I would ask the same question  I'm guessing maybe size 14+.

LOL Hey KK

Basically they are all the same thing, I wouldn't categorize a morbidly obese person fluffy or thick but a female that is not thin by society's standards or the scales for that matter and can range in body sizes. However there are commonalities because each body size embodies a full derier, large breasts, wide hips and thick thighs. Basically a voluptuous woman!

The journey may not have ended, time will tell. i am still numb, still angry, still undecided. Dont know if im ready to walk away or work it out, fight it out, or start over. All i can say, as many have told me, if it is meant to be it will be, only time will tell.

Hi All!

I am home  and back at work! The trip was good - will give more details later on, right now I have a zillion things to catch up on -

Welcome back Sus, can't wait to hear how your trip went!

For Africa to me... is more than a glamorous fact. It is a historical truth. No man can know where he is going unless he knows exactly where he has been and exactly how he arrived at his present place.

Afternoon Yardies!

Well, just checking in real quick since we're at an internet cafe in Negril. We went to our 7:00 a.m. interview yesterday and......

I am soooooooooo Happy for you Ellis!!!!!! Congrats, I pray and hope I can say the same when it is my turn on the 12th of June.

WE WERE APPROVED!! :dance::dance::dance:

I'll post more upon my return in 2 weeks since I don't anticipate being back at a computer until then. I'll tell you all that it went pretty smooth & we were out of there by 9:00 a.m. The ladies that saw us were both very nice. We managed to navigate our way through Kingston although we had a few hairy moments with him not being used to driving in city traffic & me trying to help him with road signs. We also stayed at the Prestige the night before & I highly recommend it.....decent price, A/C, good food & very close to the embassy. Now we just wait for the visa which God & embassy willing will only take 5 days....please pray for us so he can come home with me!

No time to catch up.....gonna have a lot of pages to read when I get back but hope everyone is good!

Lata!

Hey Ladies!!!

CONGRATULATIONS ELLS!!!!!!!!

welcome home sus!! and that's all I can remember...........

Anyway about the Fat (fluffy, etc.) comments, when i was growing up in JA most men refer to women either as fatty bum bum, or slims... It wasnt something we took offense to... Up to this day people in my family probably don't know my real name cause they have called me bonz all my life.... SHHHH!!! I used to drink all kinda shakes and stuff trying to gain weight cause in JA (atleast when I was growing up there) the men love thick girls! So when I moved here and it wasnt the same I was shock. But even today my friends that that grew up in JA that are on the thicker side have no issues with their weight.... When my mom was diagnose with diabeties and the doctor told her to lose weight she cussed up a storm saying she going to look like a string!!! She was 5'5 and 180. So if your are health and happy with yourself then do your thing...

Quana~ I ment to respond to your post the other night but got side track!! A had a nice time in JA he was ready to come home after a week.. he had fun with his daughter but says she is rude... She just turned 1 last week but refuse from walking... she loves to be carried!! He was able to take care of getting her passport and baby mama says she can come in April but we are going to be there in March and not trying to fly back down in April so we have to work on that one some more. But all and all he is well, we went to the beach Sunday and he got the sniffles so I have been babying him a bit.... But he is just ready to find a job and will feel more settled once he does...

Glad to see your Mister has been saving and will be coming soon... I know you are excited...

1luv - I gotta them covered in my prayers.

One of the biggest myths about diabetes is that it is called by eating too much sugar. While that is a factor due to calories and therefore weight gain.

Type 1 is when the body does not produce insulin. This is usually found out during childhood and early adult stage.

Type 2 is either the body does not produce enough insulin or the cells ignore the insulin.

And isn't type 2 due to weight related issues?
