nat i too don't like large crowds.. i hate walmart, BUT i love caribbean partying and it sounds like one of the biggest.. if i can get myself together me and buggy will def have to link up w/ u.. i have met 3 of my vj sistern so far, even if just for a few min LOL

yeah girl.. its been 4 mnths.. the longest has been 6 mnths.. tho.. some have went way longer than me, so i guess it could be worse.. i told him when he does come.. he could not do a job like long distance truck driving or anything..i couldn't stand to be away from my husband long periods of time again..

Question: Do you feel it is inappropriate or disrespectful if a mother walks around her son, say age between 5-10 years old with just undergarments on...do you think a boy that age would look at their mother in a sexual manner if she walks around them like that....

Jgay - my son is 11. We are now getting to a point where we try to respect each other's privacy (especially now that A is here and I have to be more conscious about closing the door) but when/if he does see me with my undergarments on I don't think he thinks anything sexual about it. He is usually acting grossed out about it and will turn and walk the other way. But really undergarments are not much different than a bathing suit and that's socially acceptable.

My sons are used to seeing me in various stages of undress (mainly because they just don't understand that knocking does not mean walk in without a response)...then they respond with "What? I/We knocked." I am going to purchase a stronger lock for the bedroom door now. I don't see anything wrong with kids being aware of their anatomy and the opposite anatomy. It makes for a much healthier adult...and IMHO...keeps lines of communication open about different feelings and things going on with their bodies as it changes with puberty. My oldest son came running to me when he got his first "hairs" and just dropped his pants and said MOM LOOK!!! I have hairs!!! I agree not the most elegant way to show me...but he wasn't timid or ashamed to ask me what the H is going on down there. We have also talked about masturbation and why I think he is not ready to let a little girl help him with it. He gets a little but not to the point of going to ask his friends or somebody that would give him bad advice.

My mother scared the living ####### out of me and my sister and brother. My brother had the exact opposite reaction she wanted...but I think it caused a lot of hang ups about body image with me and my sister for a long time. I don't want to raise my kids to be ashamed or fearful...that's when all the wrong things happen with peer pressure and the like.

Girl stop playing you had me all in your profile as if you were a newbie!!! Anyway I am guilty of walking around in my undergarments but this usually is in the morning when I'm getting ready for work. At night I tend to unwind but I’ll put on a little nightshirt at least. I never thought about it or seen anything wrong with it I guess because I’m their mother and I would hope they wouldn’t look at me that way.

Now as far as showering with them that I wouldn’t do acutlly I never have done it before. I have friends who shower/bath with their kids and I don’t. My girl still showers with her 7 years old daughter which I think is weird. Her daughter knows when she is on and all and I have never said anything because I’m like ughhh hey that us your kid.

Well I remember my first trip to JA and A would walk around everywhere with his underwear, stand on the balcony with them on, etc. and I was appalled. Then we go to the beach and I see guys swimming in theirs and girls swimming in skimpy clothes and thought hmmmm...not much different than a bathing suit so I chilled. Now I love to see that easygoing-ness. Sometimes I think our culture tends to get a bit prude.

Oh o.k. so Roc is not the only one to do this. I was like Roc put some clothes on and he was like why its just like shorts. He would be out doing laundry and everything in his boxer shorts but your right when we went swimming all he did was put on some shorts and in he went. I used to crack him up like where is your swim trunks and he would point to his shorts like right here!!! Oooooo kkkkkk

IT was backing up my files for my new laptop, so I took the opportunity to got to Walmart and get some new pots for my garden! Well let me tell you the recession has definitely hit the gardening section! The 10$ 10 gallon pots I use for my bananas are now 20.00 so I had to use my Recessionista skills and get my $ worth! So I searched for the higher end pot I paid 20.00 for last year and just bought that one because there is no way on earth I will pay 20.00 for them pots and I know are only worth 10$

I am a Gardenista and I don't like to cut corners when it comes to my garden but this is getting ridiculous. People want to know why I buy my plants wholesale from the Philippines, this is exactly why!

It's early may and my Garden is looking like the gully, now my Hubby knows why I spend so much time out in the garden. He now spends as much time as me I'll take some pics this weekend when I should have everything situated!

Z - you are still my garden inspiriation!! I can't wait to see the pics. A was talking the other day about planting banana trees and sugar cane. Hmmmm....

Its hard work but I love it! I can hook you up with one of my gardening buddies here in the US that can send you nanas. I have planted Sugar cane for several years but havent this year, I didnt request any from the Philipines this time it took forever to grow last year! Guess what ?? I kept complaining about this tree in the yard that is on death's door with limbs continuously keep falling and is blocking my sun. Well Hubby heard my cries, do you know I had the best surprise when I got home last night, he cut down the limbs on the tree! the tree has to be 30-35 feet tall but he climbed it and chopped it up for me. That was the most thoughtful thing! My Neighbor ( the Cat Dr Mrs Bootsy even sad that's love girl)

Girl my heart is racing! I haven't calmed down yet. The medical is getting me...it's scheduled for the 2nd. He gets back to Jamaica on the 27th...I hope that he can find his shot records from when his ex-wife filed for him. Please let his mother still have them.
