I saw this post a few minutes ago. I wonder if it's the case for all Visa types.

Well my case is complete at the NVC as of Apr 10. The operator said that the interview will not be in May b/c those dates are already booked at our embassy. She said that they assign apts on the 2nd week of every month. She said that they can't guarantee a June date. It's all based on when dates are available at the embassy. So the wait continues........

Just - you don't need it for anything other than to put it in your scrapbook. Did you get the email notification?

really, i dont need it?

not even for AOS?

i think i love you for telling me this

no email notification~~~ the reason i know i got my approval is because of my letter from NVC stating they would send everything to the appropriate visa-issuing post.

and the USCIS rep confirmed that they sent out the NOA2 on march 26.

fingers and toes crossed for everyone else

this process is crazy

AOS I don't know about.....check with Portland cuz she just did it. But you can still love me.

Morning all!

Got an email from Digicel:

Digicel Jamaica Double Bubble PROMOTION tomorrow 16th April!!!

This Thursday, all Digicel Jamaica top up purchased will receive a free credit for the same amount!!! (up to $1000)

How long is the credit good for?? I wonder if I can purhcase credit now but I wont need it until the end of next month. I think that's too long right??

The bonus credit is only good for 7 days - so it wouldn't work for your phone - I sent DJ a little surprise this am - today is the day he has to recharge the international, so now he can do it without using all his credit up, and still get the bonus credit -

Thanks kimmy, but my life has been on hold for too long.... It's things like this that gets me down, tomorrow I am going to a big award dinner where I will be receiving an award for a major milestone, But guess what I have to go alone, I can't even ask a old BF to escort me. So this is a bummer on my list tonight, I can't even get excited about what to wear. I know they will want me to give some type of speech, but I am so down, I am not even going to prepare anything.

Joel is fussing with me about this and I don't even care.

Roxcie, I can imagine how you are feeling - I completely understand the frustration of feeling on hold - But have faith and confidence that your turn will soon come - the USCIS rep you spoke to confirmed it - And celebrate your award, don't be down about it - Joel will be with you in Spirit, take pics so that he can see them, and embrace your success and hold your head high - you worked hard for it, you deserve it!

I tried it over the weekend on the easter special - but he didn't get anything extra.

Awh..that's special DaDa...you sister in law in jamaican.

Ha KK and they say god always gets the last laugh. Get this when my brother first started dating his wife I was like well she is a cute girl but why is he dating a Jamaican?? Like I didn't have a problem with her but I couldn't get it. At the time her accent was thick and she really wasn't family orientated because her family wasn't like ours you know there beliefs and what not was different. I was cordial to her but that was it and now years later look who is koo koo over coco pops for a Jamaican.. I know she is laughing her rass off at me..

My brother tells me all the time that he knew I wanted to be like him...lol

Karma..is a biotch...

That just goes with my favorite saying.." Never Say Never"

I am in the States, but I just can't really understand why is she planning to go there to live. Montego Bay is crime plauged now. Is better she just go for her regular vacations. The little she will earn at a job will be just to buy food which is very expensive now(unless she is very well qualified). She can get her husband here and the 2 of them can work and get on with life. As soon as she lives there and the real thing sets in, she will run back to the States.

Steven told me the same thing a couple of days ago.... that if I spent a few months there, I'd be so glad to get back to America.

I know from my personal experience two weeks is my limit. I love Jamaica don't get me wrong. But it is not what I'm used to...I'm American no doubt. After 15 days, I'm missing the mall or driving my own car or sleeping in my own bed. I know that me and my husband wants a vacation home in Jamaica and maybe I'll stay for a month at a time. But I don't plan on moving there full time. But like I said.. NEVER SAY NEVER.

Just - you don't need it for anything other than to put it in your scrapbook. Did you get the email notification?

Oh yeah...you definitely need the NOA2 for AOS. without a doubt. I actually believe it asks for a copy to be submitted if your AOS on K-1. Okay someone please find the interview checklist for just!!!!!!

My2, I would travel out of the Norfolk International Airport, using American Airline.

I dont think Norfolk is international, is it?

I used to live over there

She would take Norfolk to Miami (which is international). It might be cheaper and more convenient than driving to Baltimore to fly AJ.

where is Quana..

You know you can check Quana on FB. She is taking a break.

Ells- Where are you? Come out of the shell please...it's all gonna work out.
