LOL, Just give in and have a baby, KK!

Although now my friend just got a new puppy and I want one!

TinyPuppy.jpg

Awww....that is so cute! I don't know if I'd be able to handle the responsibility of a dog though so I leave it to others.

Morning/Afternoon Yardies!

Thanks for starting a new thread Kimmy!

I don't have much to say today....just feeling a bit down about this whole process at the moment. I'm not even sure my SO accomplished what he needed to when he went to the embassy and not hearing back from them is getting to me. I've already covered all the bases as far as what everyone has suggested so it's just hoping and waiting now but we seem to be delayed for some reason. I can't bug them every day so I just have to try my best to be patient. I've tried asking my mister about details when he went there and from what he tells me, I'm not sure things happened as they were supposed to. Oh well, I'm just throwing my hands up for right now. :(

oh ells we all of our breaking point moment. keep venting you will feel better.

Thanks Jake's! I know I'll feel better as soon as I hear something from the embassy.

Ellis, those things you have no control over, you just have to let go. This is where you have to start having your trust in your SO. If he says he did it, then let it go, if he did it wrong, then it will just take a little longet for him to get to the end of this process, and remember everything has an ending, just that sometime it's not the ending we would have choosen. At least these kinds of mistakes and mishaps can be corrected, that's the bright note.

True words! I guess I'm just getting a little impatient now. Well, if the delays continue, it just might work out that our interview is in July and we get to go to Sumfest one more time! How's that for making lemonade out of lemons??

Ells - what's the matter?

He dropped off the forms right? I don't remember but somehow my SO got the form that is need for the medical. He never got anything in the mail so he must have gotten it from them when he turned in the sheet. ???? It's been a while now. Just keep holding on. Can'tyou call the embassy at certain times on Friday for K-1 questions? So now you're in the waiting on an interview stage, right? Ells, you're so close to the end my dear.

I didn't know you could call the embassy on Fridays....anyone have a number for that? Yep, waiting for an interview. I'm just worried because my SO tells me that he handed the forms to "a black guy who then handed them over to a white guy" and then the white guy proceeded to tell him he needed to fill out the DS-230 so we could get an interview date. This is where my confusion really sets in.....UUUHHH, isn't that what the other guy just handed over to you????

i am already frustrated with the marching back and forth to the bathroom so the next step is to put a bed in the bathroom and sleep inna di tub or but a high chair in deh and rest mi head and put me behind pon the toilet seat.

Or wear Depends! Just kidding Jake's! I can imagine the frustration....equally as annoying as having a urinary tract infection!

Ells, you can channel that energy to getting the rest of the stuff you need for the interview. Bank letter, employer letter, etc. Are you planning to go to the interview?

Kim

Bank letter, done. Employer letter, will take 5 minutes since I'm the one writing it....all I have to do is hand it over to my supe to sign....everything else is ready....now I just want a @#% date so I can start planning because yes, I'm going for the interview. I want to have an idea of when to ask for time off and start shopping for the plane ticket!

ells, what else do u know about your case? did they contact you at all since you SO delivered the docs?

Nope, no reply or contact since he dropped off the form. I've written them twice. Once last Friday and again on Wednesday w/a '2nd request' in the subject line and still haven't gotten a reply. I wrote to see if they received the forms and when we could get a date and still nothing.

Ells, - it'll all work out. You gotta have faith in this moment.

Well, you know how the saying goes. It's easier said than done. But we are all waiting for you to post your interview date and better yet the day after his arrival update.

I was thinking about what colors he could paint to other room when that times comes. I think I like shopping for babies. I'm talking myself up for the taking the responsibility. Everyone says..it will all kick in once you have the baby. The maternal part.

well ells i see how u can get impatient. it's only natural that if you do what they say u should do to get a response and not get one that you would get frustrated. even though they have a large volume of email still u have to be concern about YOUR case.i was in your shoes so i empathize. by the way i am going to really think about wearing ""depends"" cause at the rate of how i am visiting the bathroom i won't be getting a good night sleep anytime soon.

Roxie - he won't be painting until it's closer to having the baby. Right now the room is painted Creme Brulee

KK, if it is a boy then complement with a green, if it is a girl the complement with different shades of pink.

Good idea

Timeline

At the end of #13, I saw some people posting about issues with their SOs keeping track of their phones.

WHY is this so hard for these men to do?

Steven has never lost his phone himself, but he keeps letting one of his friends borrow it and that guy has lost the same phone TWICE. He's also lost Steven's nice sunglasses, and all those are things he lost during my visits. Who knows what else he's misplaced. I'm like, if you have a friend who keeps losing the things you let him borrow, then STOP LETTING HIM BORROW YOUR STUFF. But when he lost the phone the second time, Steven didn't even tell him anything, talking about "Why fuss? It's already lost." ARGH!

Mind you, this friend is a sweetie-pie. I'm not saying don't be his friend. But you know what friends are responsible with stuff & which ones aren't, so act accordingly.
