Anyone doing anything really exciting this weekend?

I'm going to the Cardinal game tomorrow. Otherwise working on cleaning new house and moving all the way in.

Hi JG! You are a baseball fanatic! Didn't know you had a new house to move in to....congrats! Bet that feels nice!

I've decided since receiving an e-mail yesterday that I'm going to Santa Cruz for my friend's 'green card party'. They'll be having a grill on the beach and lots of drumming and dancing. The weather is supposed to be incredible so I REFUSE to sit in a library working on this final project with my less-than-enthusiastic classmate on a gorgeous Saturday. This guy is offering no time that we can get together to work on this before Wednesday so I don't know how we'll manage. Now I'm just putting together my own powerpoint presentation and going to worry about myself. It's supposed to be a 'group' thing but I'm getting almost no cooperation from him so WHATEVA! :ot2: (Oops!) Anyway, I'm going to at least enjoy Saturday and have fun and then think about buckling down on Sunday....maybe.

Some trips I literally start putting things in or near the suitcase a couple weeks before. With this coming trip, with how busy I am, I think I'll start the day after my class is over. Thursday evening I'll do the laundry and then start packing until it's time to leave at 3:40 a.m. on Monday! I've done that a couple times too where you get no sleep cause you were re-packing and now I try to avoid it as much as possible. This last trip I was all set to go the day before and it felt great!

What in the world is that? Is the airport far from where you work/live? SMH.....the things we do to get down to Jamaica...

I am praying for your NAO2 Nat.... I had a dream about your avatar last night  maybe it's a sign...

I hope so! I've dreamed that someone from VSC called me before, AND I dreamed that I got my NOA2. Last night, though, I dreamed that I was watching Parent Trap (original Haley Mills one) with my parents & siblings, but there were guns and a chase scene on gondolas in Italy. I guess that was from listening to the Classic Disney CDs all day yesterday. I remember thinking "I didn't know Haley Mills was in this many Disney movies!" cause she was singing so many songs. Anyway, my point is that I don't put as much stock into dreams these days, cause I keep waking up disappointed.

His arrival was good - I was standing in a spot where I could see everyone as soon as they walked around the corner so I spotted him first. But as soon as he rounded the corner his eyes went right to me and we both got a big goofy grin on our faces. I had my camera in hand but I couldn't move - just stood there grinning like a kid at a birthday party!!! He walked over and hugged me through the gate and I just deflated like a balloon - he was finally here.

So precious! I get that same grin whenever Steven and I video chat on Skype, or when I first see him when I land. Very happy for you!

Sunny...you got me cracking up over here! I feel you on the babies thing...the hubby was just talking about babies the other day--I was like :no: ...I have a feeling I'm going to need to surround myself with a force field to stay safe when he gets here!:whistle::lol:

Ray talks about it everyday just about. He's keeps saying YUH CAAN BREED as much as we  LMAO

What is the DEAL with that??? Steven talks all the time about breeding me! Can we wait until we're married! (and even a few years after that)

I'm a planner. I have this spreadsheet of everything to pack for a trip to Jamaica. I started it for my August 2008 trip, and have added a tab to the spreadsheet for each trip after (November, February, March, May). All I do is change a few of the clothes each time. I usually pack most things 2 weeks in advance, and put the final few items in there (like makeup) the night before. My spreadsheet has what I'm wearing every day & night of the trip, so I can just look at it and know what I'm gonna wear without having to think.

I think Steven was like :wow: when he first saw it, but by now he's used to that aspect of my personality.

LOL - At JFK, there are hotels right near the airport - you can do a package where you spend a night there before or after your trip and can leave your car at the hotel during your trip - then you take the hotel shuttle right to the gate. I work (without traffic) a half hour closer to the airport than where I live - Because of the time of my flight, I would be right in the thick of rush hour traffic, which turns my half hour commute into an hour or more - Add on another 45 min (without traffic) to the airport, triple that for traffic - and I would be beyond stressed by the time I got there - This way, I will leave work, get a pedicure, out to dinner with my cousin, to the gym, then head down and get a good nights sleep, sleep late and catch my flight!

Of course I knew you would have it all planned out. I sometimes wished I planned that good.

My last trip to Atlanta..I made it to my gate 10 minutes before the flight CLOSED!!! Talk about no wait..just have to climb over everyone already on the plan looking at you coming through the aisle with your bags...:rofl:

 Nat are you serious you REALLY do all of this? I mean granted I lay all my clothes on my bed for each day and then when I get down there depending on where we are going and what I feel like rocking is what I'll wear that day. I am LMAO at you having a spreadsheet that says o.k. Nat today you'll wear this... That is so funny you are right you are a planner. Man planning two weeks ahead of time that is great I wish I could be that organized...

Wow Nat I'm still in shock well I guess if Steven ever wants to see what you’re wearing or wants to match you colors he just needs to look at your spreadsheet.

He still doesn’t know your coming right? Are you about to bust keeping the secret or your cool calm and collective?
