Umm I wonder if there is a shuttle or sumthing that could get me from Mobay to Ochi!!! I wonder if Roc was at work and I wanted to get to Ochi would I be able to?? Probably not huh?? Newly yuh betta hope not cuz if mi figure sumting out mi on mi way....LOL

okay damn i hope there is and a matter of fact i need shuttle from Kingston ap to Ochie anybody can help me i am scared as phock to fly into Kingston shoot me and you Dada it might be on and popping in JA HAPPY MEMORIALS DAY LMAO

Why yuh scared to Fly into Kingston?

Because all my JA friends from NYC is putting horror stories my mi head talking about its s diffrent from mbj and dont stand out there too long ect...

I fly in to Kingston all the time plus we have a spot there I love Kingston. Anywhere you travel in the world you should always be confident as well as cautious of your surroundings but never scared because trust me people will take advantage of that fear! You will be just fine so stop worrying LOL

Hey Rox! I see....I'm not paying my AOS bill til next week tho. I sent off for my tax transcripts for my package, and I'm working on getting my employment letter. My husband went to Kingston yesterday to get his police certificate, and they told him it should be 7-10 days. Then he'll send that to me. I have his BC, copies of his passport pages, DS 230 and stuff signed already. Do you need to do the AOS package for the K3 as well?

I fly into Kingston too and I have NEVER encountered any type of problem, so I don't know what the big deal is all about.

Which other Yardies are on their diet right now? These folks at work keep bringing in food!!!!! I keep telling them I am dieting "no thank you" and they keep trying to force it on me, I don't get it!

Ladies I think we mines well give up. Jawi has dangled a carrot in front of our faces and she keeps running with it she wont lets us catch her. I have asked her to at least end it with they lived happily eva afta but noooooooooooo she wont pull the trigger and take me out of my misery!!!

Morning Yardies!

Between my final project keeping my mind churning like mad (I can't wait for this to be FINISHED!) and my coming trip to JA and all the preparations, I keep waking up super early and trying unsuccessfully to go back to sleep. Oh well, soon enough I'll be taking wonderful afternoon naps in a yaad!

Yes, as others have said, it's good for a year. I agree that he should wait until you get your NOA2 cause you never know what'll happen with the embassy. If you guys plan to have him drop off his DS-230, he can go for the police certificate on the same trip.

Thanks for all the calls and I know I owe a couple of you phone calls but I feel like I'm on a dead run this week!!

The day finally came - Anthony is here! Everyone went pretty smoothly on Wednesday, although he said there was a hard time because his visa is stamped for 6 months. He said a bunch of officers were gathered around causing some hoopla and checking the computer chatting bout why is the Kingston embassy stamping K1 visas for 6 months. As far as I knew that was the norm - you have 6 months to use the visa.

His arrival was good - I was standing in a spot where I could see everyone as soon as they walked around the corner so I spotted him first. But as soon as he rounded the corner his eyes went right to me and we both got a big goofy grin on our faces. I had my camera in hand but I couldn't move - just stood there grinning like a kid at a birthday party!!! He walked over and hugged me through the gate and I just deflated like a balloon - he was finally here.

Things have been going really well. The whole ride home his eyes were going a hundred miles an hour checking everything out. He did make me feel good Wednesday night when he said "I think I'm gonna like it here" because Whitehall is about as different from Kingston as Earth is from Mars. As soon as he got out of the car he asked why he never heard the pretty birds chirping when we were on the phone.

The biggest challenge so far has been food. He is working on his 3rd day of eating stew pork as he is not trying anything. But I figure when he gets hungry enough (or when the stew pork is gone!) he will try. I definitely learned the hard way awhile ago that I just ride out his stubborness, especially when he is the one most effected by it.

My kids officially met him last night and they loved him. They both had to sit next to him at dinner. And I loved him even more when I walked into the living room and saw him playing Dora Dominos with them and teaching them checkers Jamaican style!

I say it again and again, I never could've made this journey without all of you ladies - I love you gals!!

I'm not on a diet (though I need to be) but I've had the same frustration at work with coworkers shoving food at you all the time. I finally just started to make it EXTREMELY clear (I had to get cranky with the big offender) that I did not WANT, NEED or APPRECIATE the food offers! Some people are just comfortable with the status quo and don't like when other people try to make positive changes. You'd think everyone would want to help you but I've found that isn't the case. Stay strong though girl, you can do it!

My problem is not at work - My problem is that I live with June Cleaver, who even if she is going out for the night will fix me a plate (with all the food groups) and leave it in the microwave - and who bakes cookies and brownies at least once a week!
