Morning, all.

Has anyone ever flown out of the airport in Negril to somewhere else in Jamaica? Airport code = NEG

I can't even find online what airlines fly from there.

Thank you, ma'am!

I live in Houston, but haven't watched any of the games. Hope we're doing well!

I just started reading this book called "Breeding Between the Lines: Why Interracial People are Healthier and More Attractive." So far, I'm only in chapter 1, but it is quite the interesting read. I predict that I'll be up late reading this tonight.

Nat - what made you so interested in this topic?

I ran across that book after reading another about intercultural marriage. I was curious to see what the author says. I thought I'd be up late reading it, it is so fascinating, but I guess I was tired. I fell asleep before 11pm, which is very early for me.

Good Morning people :)

My honey wants to know how long the police record is good for.

He wants to do everything now

I keep telling him to wait till the embassy send him the orders...

he wants to know if there is an expiration date for the police record...

:help:

I believe it is 6 months to a year - I definitely would hold off on it until you get your approval though - Why risk having to redo it?

It's good for a year, that's what we were told at the interview. My husband got his police report November 2007 and our interview was June 2008.

sus; don't forget to call me, I'll be in church most of day Saturday.

Because all my JA friends from NYC is putting horror stories my mi head talking about its s diffrent from mbj and dont stand out there too long ect...

I liked Flying into Kingston - it was much easier to get through immigration and customs, and typical DJ was late, so I was sitting out for a while - there was some athlete arriving, and all these teens were decked out in JA colors, waving flags and carrying on - it was fun to watch.

Morning VJ Family!!

Thanks for all the calls and I know I owe a couple of you phone calls but I feel like I'm on a dead run this week!!

The day finally came - Anthony is here! Everyone went pretty smoothly on Wednesday, although he said there was a hard time because his visa is stamped for 6 months. He said a bunch of officers were gathered around causing some hoopla and checking the computer chatting bout why is the Kingston embassy stamping K1 visas for 6 months. As far as I knew that was the norm - you have 6 months to use the visa.

His arrival was good - I was standing in a spot where I could see everyone as soon as they walked around the corner so I spotted him first. But as soon as he rounded the corner his eyes went right to me and we both got a big goofy grin on our faces. I had my camera in hand but I couldn't move - just stood there grinning like a kid at a birthday party!!! He walked over and hugged me through the gate and I just deflated like a balloon - he was finally here.

Things have been going really well. The whole ride home his eyes were going a hundred miles an hour checking everything out. He did make me feel good Wednesday night when he said "I think I'm gonna like it here" because Whitehall is about as different from Kingston as Earth is from Mars. As soon as he got out of the car he asked why he never heard the pretty birds chirping when we were on the phone.

The biggest challenge so far has been food. He is working on his 3rd day of eating stew pork as he is not trying anything. But I figure when he gets hungry enough (or when the stew pork is gone!) he will try. I definitely learned the hard way awhile ago that I just ride out his stubborness, especially when he is the one most effected by it.

My kids officially met him last night and they loved him. They both had to sit next to him at dinner. And I loved him even more when I walked into the living room and saw him playing Dora Dominos with them and teaching them checkers Jamaican style! :luv:

I say it again and again, I never could've made this journey without all of you ladies - I love you gals!! (L)

Good morning everyone.

Islandwoman I am happy for you and Anthony.

Mrs. Palmer, we are on the same time-line for NVC.

Hey Rox! I see....I'm not paying my AOS bill til next week tho. I sent off for my tax transcripts for my package, and I'm working on getting my employment letter. My husband went to Kingston yesterday to get his police certificate, and they told him it should be 7-10 days. Then he'll send that to me. I have his BC, copies of his passport pages, DS 230 and stuff signed already. Do you need to do the AOS package for the K3 as well?

Sunny! Wagwaan! It's been a long time girl! How are you & Ray doing? Yall made any babies yet?! You know how the VJ wata is around here!:devil:
