I always I eat the same and lose weight too when I go. I think its the food. Its not saturated with all the grease and fats we have here in the states. Its fresh and normally stewed or steamed and its normally chicken or fish plus they eat so many vegetables.... Its funny here in the states I'm used to eating a meat veggie and starch. There I eat meat, veggie, veggie and more veggies and no bread is normally served with it.

I have the opposite experience. I eat WAAAAY more starches in Jamaica than I do here. Cause there, breakfast comes with fried bammy (my FAVORITE!) and all the other meals come with a ton of rice & peas. In the states, I try to avoid bread, rice, etc (key word = try). I do tend to lose in Jamaica IF I don't rent a car. This trip, my cousin and I are gonna split the cost of a car, so I already know I won't lose a thing.

Well hubby called me to tell me that a guy from back home that he isn't cool with is spreading rumors about him...he said the guy told someone that he is friend's with that my hubby is in jail for beating me up... ...now the guy he told is someone that my hubby speaks to on a daily basis so he knows thats not true not even close to being true...so i'm like why does this guy have my hubby on his mind like that...especially to say something like that...and this is not the first rumor he spread about my hubby...they were in problems from way before so i think he might be jealous or something...idk...

I know....I'm amazed at how much of a soap opera it can seem like in JA at times. My mister has been dealing with a little of that kind of thing as well lately. His cousins haven't really talked to him in a few weeks over some really ridiculous thing. I don't really want to go into details but one aspect of the 'family shut out' was that when they (he and his cousin) were in Kingston for his drop off appointment and police report, they stayed over night in the 'hood' in Kingston where someone was shot & killed very close by. Suddenly it became this issue that if his cousin had been killed, it would have been all my mister's fault. I just didn't even know how to respond to that. But it seems there are some people who would like to stir up enough trouble to make his life miserable even though he doesn't bother with them. I think word is getting out that he's going through this process and people are jealous.

One of my funniest memories was when he tried to cook breakfast. > I guess he called himself making an “American breakfast" for me. It was grilled cheese which he calls cheese grill, masked potatoes and eggs..I was like ummm babe wah dis. He was like breakfast isn’t this what you all eat?? He was so proud I was scared to tell him no so I just dealt with it but the next day I did happen to tell him when He was walking in to the kitchen to cook again to let me show him....

Oh, I'M SHOCKED! NOT!!! Tell you all the truth, he is one of the reasons I've hardly been watching AI (okay, I hardly ever watch it anyway). I know everyone has been RAVING about him, but I CAN'T STAND HIM! He has been done time and time again....the wailing and high pitched 'scream singing' is nothing new and not the least bit compelling to me. When he's on, I just change the channel or turn down the volume and keep doing my dishes. The guy and his singing just rubs me the wrong way in every way!

My mister makes all that good food too! My mouth is watering thinking about okra, callaloo and brown stew chicken right now! It's strange but I seem to lose a few pounds every time too. Mister thinks it's cause of the that I 'draw dung'! LOL! I think it's just good healthy food and not eating when I don't need to like I do at home.

I guess it's called..S exerise. put it all together. lmao

Looking at someone who is pacing in front of my office, I want to throw my telephone out the door, but I need my job.

That drives me crazy too! If I keep my office door open, it's like the light cast into the hallway from my office beckons everyone to stand right there and have a meeting or something! Of course, they do it anyway, door open or not. This long a$$ hallway with no doors nearby and you all have to pick RIGHT HERE by my door so I have to sit on the other side and listen to your entire convo (which I really don't want to hear). On occasion I poke my head out the door and as nicely as possible ask them to move along. Then don't even get me started on the people that have to scrape the wall or knock on it the ENTIRE way down the hall as they walk along. Some day, someone is going to be tackled by me as they pass my door scraping or knocking on my office wall!

I knew I was addicted when I lost my job because I couldn’t stop visiting this unauthorized site. I would read for hours and sometimes chat but often would break out into uncontrollable laughter for which no one else around knew the reason why. I don’t want to do my work and the ladies on the site are the only thing that makes my days go by faster. When I don’t check in I feel lost and…and…(crying)…and I don’t know what I would do without them. They’re my friends, but no one can see them.

Steven paid someone to unlock his Claro/MiPhone phone, so he can use it with one of his 4 Digicel chips. Well, the guy tried for over a week, but couldn't unlock it. He gave Steven another unlocked phone, in exchange for the money and Steven's phone. That worked out well, cause the phone he gave Steven was better than the one he had.

Congratulations on the approval, Niecy. Hearing your story kinda makes me think I can save vacation and not go for the interview.
