Yes, next Wednesday is our final (oral presentation w/classmate) and it's done. I'm not taking anything for summer semester but will resume in the fall. 3 more classes (2 more semesters probably) till my AA...man I'm in the SLOW program! LOL! Then I have to decide on a 4-year college as far as what to do and where to go....

don't worry girl.. u are making a great accomplishment.. my homegirl is graduating w/ her AA 2moro night at the age of 39... i got my AS almost 10 yrs ago, but she gives me the motivation to try and get my bachelors, NO MATTER how long it takes.. once its urs it urs..

Yeah, people keep saying better late than never. I still wish I'd had this motivation when I was A LOT younger! I think I'd be so much more ahead of the game now. That's great you're going for your bachelors! Yes, we definitely need to have time together even though I'm going to get him into school right away! At least I can help him with his homework for a while before I have to pay attention to my own!

Okay, just put my mail on hold starting the 26th, reserved my shuttle to the airport and think I'm gonna start organizing all the paperwork in the proper order for the interview.

My mister makes all that good food too! My mouth is watering thinking about okra, callaloo and brown stew chicken right now! It's strange but I seem to lose a few pounds every time too. Mister thinks it's cause of the that I 'draw dung'! LOL! I think it's just good healthy food and not eating when I don't need to like I do at home.

jgay, how is everything for hubby at the new job.. are u his transpo right now.. i always worry about that?? in a perfect world rg would save enough money to buy a car when he gets here..

Hubby really likes his job but i am his transportation for now until he gets his DL....since he works late night the bus he suppose to take home stops running at 11:30 something (pm)....he doesn't get out until 2:am so i pick him up...so far he has been only working the weekends (Fri-Sun) so it hasn't been that bad...well for now...he is studying for DL permit test so hopefully soon he feels comfortable to take it....and he will be looking for a hoop-tee...just something cheap to take him from point A to point B....he could always take the metro nrth which is not far from his job either but i haven't checked to see where that metro north leaves him...i'm pretty sure though he would still have to take a cab home....so location wise the job sucks if you don't have a ride....

Well hubby called me to tell me that a guy from back home that he isn't cool with is spreading rumors about him...he said the guy told someone that he is friend's with that my hubby is in jail for beating me up... ...now the guy he told is someone that my hubby speaks to on a daily basis so he knows thats not true not even close to being true...so i'm like why does this guy have my hubby on his mind like that...especially to say something like that...and this is not the first rumor he spread about my hubby...they were in problems from way before so i think he might be jealous or something...idk...

tell me girls, WHAT were the circumstances when u realized that u REALLY loved ur SO or were really gonna pursue a LDR...

i realized i loved him on my return trip after meeting him.. it was 3 mnths later. We had been having a really good time even tho the trip was a disaster almost but we made the best of things like we always seem to do.. things were just going so well , i just blurted out "i love u" it was totally unexpected, but i guess as they say "what is in u will eventually come out"

realized i loved him when i called him an emotional wreck one night

and it was still in the early stages of our relationship where he could have opted to walk away and i couldn't have held it against him

and he waited patiently and reasoned with me and allowed me to let it out

i realised at that point he really cared for me on the level he was saying he did and I would be a fool to allow me reservations about an LDR stop me from being loved and loving him back

I knew after my 4th trip... well, I kinda knew after the 3rd, but I wanted to go to Negril alone (the first 3 were with family/friends) to explore the possibility of a future. From observing how he treated me AND everyone else, and seeing how he was respected, I was Sold 100%. So then I returned to America and told my "friend" that we were through, as I met my future husband.

Too many people have bad mind! He probably is jealous that he got to go a farrin and everything. Guess that guy just doesn't have enough going on in his own life he's got to try and stir things up in someone else's!

You only need a few. The wedding only tells part of the story. Did you do anything else that you took pictures of.....sightseeing, some with family and/or friends, etc?

As soon as you know your file has gotten to JA then just email the consul email address and ask for an appt to drop of the DS 230. You're right you can just get that online. (Don't forget he needs two passport size pics to drop off with the DS 230) . Then once your SO drops it off email that same email address and tell them that your SO never got packet 3 and you are worried he won't get packet 4 either and can they just email it to you. That's what I did and a day later they emailed me packet 3 and 4. The girls on here have me so prepped that I emailed back and said "doesn't he need a medical form" and she said "you're good, I forgot to include it".

You're all correct here EXCEPT I don't think 2 passport photos are required for the 230 anymore. However, it might be good for him to work on getting his police report the same day he goes to drop that off at the embassy and then he WILL need 2 passport photos for that.

Thank you for correcting this! I lost my mind for a moment. I had the 2 passport photo thing in my head because we did get the police report done the same day, well at least applied for it.
