Work was boring & my gums hurt, so I took a break & went to the party supply store across the street.

I got balloons, crinkly paper to make streamers, candles that spell "STEVEN", plastic harmonicas, and a variety of other plastic noisemakers. Oh, and one of those big HAPPY BIRTHDAY things you hang on the wall. I plan to bring tape, too. I think that's all I'll need, other than the cake & beverages.

I thought about paper plates & cups, but don't have enough room in my carry-on for that. Plus it'll make him suspicious.

Wait Nat I thought the idea was to have him come to the hotel and be surprised because you set up a birthday gathering?? Are you planning on doing the gathering a day or two after your there??

Did anyone on here ever receive both Packet 3 and 4 during this process? I am beginning to wonder that it is a given that you will not receive both.

It seems the only way one can be guaranteed to receive either 3 or 4 is to just have the embassy e-mail them as attachments. In some of the more 'metro' areas, the mail service is probably somewhat better than out in country. Cause I know my mister didn't receive anything and it will probably never arrive.

Ells have you heard how the medical went? Is he done?

The medical was fine. He is done and is home now. If anyone uses Mobay in the future, hit me up for some advice. It was pretty smooth but there was one little thing I'm not allowed to talk about until we are 'in the clear'. I'm sure some of you already know or can guess. PM me if you're dying to know and can be sworn to secrecy. Nothing to do with the procedure or anything. All of that went as it was supposed to. They asked if he had ever smoked and he answered, "no" and then they tested his breath to make sure he wasn't a 'smoker' with weak lungs. He didn't like when they drew blood for the HIV test, wasn't too excited about them messing with his junk to check him out (LOL!) but admitted that the vaccinations weren't as bad as he was worried about. Now he has to go back on the 22nd to pick up the results.

Wow I didn't know they mess with the junk too.. LOL that is too funny but I guess a good precautionary measure... I can just see Roc's face now.. Whoo that is going to be funny...

Husband pleads not guilty to biting wife

SPANISH TOWN, St Catherine — A husband who accused his wife of infidelity damaged her nose when he punched her in the face and then bit the flesh from her ring finger.

Winston Rowe, of a Spanish Town address, who was arrested and charged with unlawfully wounding his wife, Andrea Rowe, pleaded not guilty to the charge in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

Senior St Catherine Resident Magistrate Marcia Dunbar-Green, extended his $30,000 station bail and adjourned the case until Friday, June 19.

Bunzarelli, that is a good choice, I would not advise anyone to presure the K3 now, it doesn't move any faster than the CR1. Even though I started off with the K3 will be doing the CR1, and hoping that we can get a 10 year GC since we will be close to our 2 year anniversary mark.

i have yet to receive my paper NOA2 and packet 3

damion has not recieved packet 3 yet either

i emailed the consulate and they said it was sent out april 14th

maybe i will email again and just ask for them to send via email to both of us

You wouldn't believe the number of people who try to send money to people in other countries with the promise of land or lottery winning or prizes of sorts . even buying items

the lotto scam was huge in montego bay this winter, maybe it still is

i knew of so many people involved it it

they tried and tried to get me to call these people b/c of my american accent

cho! i was like, "NEVA! hell NO! its wrong- you are lying to these people, deceit is so ugly and wrong"

their reasoning was if these people are dumb enough to give their money to a stranger, then they don't deserve to have that money

they had stacks of information- peoples names, phone numbers, addresses

people doing what they think they need to be doing to survive i suppose

Yup. My cousin is coming on this trip, too, so my plan is to decorate her hotel room (or have her do it) on Tuesday (my last full day there, and exactly one week before Steven's birthday) and surprise him then. I'm waiting until Tuesday cause I'll need to order a cake.

Just had a thought, though! Steven's parents just returned to Negril from their month-long visit to the US, where their band went on tour. I can get his mother to assist with ordering the cake!
