Make sure you always twirl once in front of the mirror before leaving home:

omg sus.. i said this very thing to a friend the other day.. im ok w/ u not talking to me, but withdrawal of communication is punishment.. don't leave me in the dark like that ..

tell me, "u know what u said something that i didn't like and i am just gonna chlll for a min"..

that is what i mean by talking.. i am not gonna badger u until we come to resolution.. shoot that may never happen.. i just want the respect of u advising me of ur actions and why.. u might not talk to me for a week over something that was just u MISUNDERSTANDING me...

Do you mean that you have this issue with your friends? Or that you were just telling your friends about the issue. I didn't realize how bad I was about not calling anyone until one day, some of my college friends came to town from other states to visit... they all were in agreement that if they didn't call me, we'd never speak. I don't not call cause I'm mad at people. I just don't feel a need to talk a lot to anyone (except my SO). Even with my own brother/sister, I tend to keep up with their lives via Facebook. However, if anyone calls me, I can talk forever.

I would never say that the shutting down thing is just a JA thing - cause my Dad did it his whole life - I am okay with needing space - Lord knows, at times I have to walk away and come back when I am calm - But TELL me you need the space - don't just take it and assume I am okay with it - We'll see what happens, only time will tell -

I haven't told him yet - but the first part of my stay I kept the same in Ochi - I cancelled what I had booked for my honeymoon and booked to go over to Negril with my girls - Whether or not he comes with me remains to be seen.

this is what happend w/ roger.. i was expressing my feeling about LDR being hard and i didn't know if i cld continue.. he ASSUMED i wanted to go back to my husband and this was my way of telling him, which was FAR from the truth.. he wouldnt answer my calls for a week.. a whole week wasted when u could have just told me why u were upset and u wanted space and then i could have clarified myself

The thing that i do when i get upset or frustrated is i raise my voice ... I'll never forget my fiance and i were on the phone and he had been gone back to Ja about 2 months and he was frustrating me because he was talking to me and his friends and i would say something to him and he would hear me and then he says to me why aint you talking to me and i got upset and and said I AM BUT YOUR NOT LISTENING ! And he just as calm say to me why are you shouting..all i could do is laugh

Morning all - Glad to hear you aren't feeling too bad, Nat - I remember having that done - two were easy, two were awful!

I was browsing through my emails this am, and I get these emails with new matches from a dating site I joined years and years ago - I have marked them as junk, but they always land back in my inbox - Today I read it, and thought this was one of the funniest and creative introductions:

Looking for a relationship WITH strings. It’s those connections that make a relationship full, enticing, and gives it staying power. But lets keep the tangles and knots to a minimum, I'm not looking to jump in both feet first, casual and easy is a good place to start. Oh, and while I’m working on contrary stereotypes, I’m not really looking for Ms Right either. Ms Nearly There is probably perfect; Give me the quirks and idiosyncrasies that give some depth of character over perfect every time! If I found Ms. Right, what would be left to explore? That said, issues, and any baggage larger than a carry-on should be checked at the door.

Make me laugh and I’ll share my worst puns with you. I’m a whirlwind in the kitchen, cooking with me is never quiet, or boring. I’m the go-to guy if you want large glasses of BIG red wine and dancing to the Talking Heads, (with the volume at 11), all while chopping basil for fresh pesto. Be active and open to new experiences and people. Find a sunny day and we have to get outside, let the dog have the couch! Summer finds me sailing, riding, playing tennis and finding great outdoor concerts. In the winter, well I've finally traded my skis for a snowboard - full time. Year round I play tennis and travel; a lot. And if you can dance the Argentine Tango, we'll never be at a loss for a Saturday night date!

Passionate about life and all it has to offer, I am well educated, confident, imaginative and subtle when required. I know what I desire and don’t hesitate to take charge when needed. If looks are important, (and they always seem to be), I am easy on the eyes, 6’3” and in fit shape at 205 lbs. Clean-shaven, (from chin to top), I have broad shoulders, long legs and no love handles. Not ripped, just nicely proportioned.

We all need to take more time to play, to be a bit more carefree and to allow ourselves to be what we desire. I want people in my life who truly know that life is about passions, going after your dreams and surrounding yourself with others who feel the same way. I've lived around the world, and I've been around the block, and I think I'm finally getting wise enough to know what really counts. I've got a profession I love, but it doesn't rule my life, or my time. My glass is nearly full, but its time to get a bigger glass, with room for two.

Love and relationships make demands, they take work, and effort. My sleeves are rolled up.

Um, promise you won't boil the rabbit?

Witty and intelligent. He would have piqued my interest.

I'm pisssedd i spilled water on my phone...man the screen is blank..i'm going into shock!!

Whatever you do...do NOT attempt to turn it back on until completely dry. It will fry the circuit board. You can put the phone and battery in a large bowl of rice (the rice will absorb the water from all the cracks and crevices)...then place it about 10 inches away from a blow dryer and let it dry out. I did this with my LG Dare when I dropped it in the toilet talking to you or Jonesie while cleaning. LOL LMAO

DaDa take a couple of good books with you...or your laptop and movies. I rent movies from Netflix (bootleg will work too) and watch them on the laptop with portable speakers. I hardly ever turn on a tv in Jamaica and I have been going since 2000. I try to find places to visit that I haven't visited before...you know local pool halls or soccer fields or basketball courts...I rarely do touristy things unless I am taking a newbie with me (although I think River tubing will be a must for all future trips...so relaxing!).

Hey Quana! Ladies I need some advice...I showed you all my wedding dress...well it is an almost perfect fit with the exception of the girls...they are shouting "GIVE US FREE!!!" like the man on Amastad. So...I'm thinking of purchasing something similar...can you tell me the one you like the most?

Kimmy - take the battery out and let it drain. Hopefully it will be okay once it is all dried.

*sigh* i'm nothing w/o my phone (hahahaa)

I feel you isn’t a shame how a little device is our world. You ever have days where you forget your phone?? Its like your whole day is off or you will actually go back home to get it knowing your late. Or its funny how some days I might forget my umbrella, lunch or kid but I have my phone...lol

LOL I’m joking about forgetting my kid I haven’t forgot them yet….LOL

Girl...I have to work with my figure...I refuse to go down the aisle looking like a white sweet potato (I have a belly that I loving call Bartholomew Wolfgang)...I love the mermaid/trumpet style...but I'm way too short...and the belly (UGH!)....

Dress 1 is my favorite too...it is VERY similar to the dress I got from Dillards. I was trying to see if I took off a few 1000 pounds if the breasts would stop crying...but I'm scared that I don't have enough time...too scary to leave up to chance.

what are you his property? or a child he scolds evertime you speak to another man? this is ridiculous...i can understand if u start these conversations with intent but come..ur gonna become antisocial..don't lose urself in this process...and u will start blamin urself for things going wrong.

my husband knows me well enough that i speak to a man boldly infront of him it's a friend or stranger..thats just me go out andspeak to everyone..kimora has that about her and it freaks me out

so, u need a serious talk here..and i can't tell u why b/c this is not true..unless they see you as property or merchandise..mi no know

he must have owned alot of "property" in JA cause this is ignorance

thank u kimmy.. mi tell har ie nuh a JA ting.. its a insecure thing,

Why did I just get off the phone with my co-workers Jamaican. Well we were in the conf room and she called him so we could talk. He said the same thing. He thinks I am a flirt because I speak to people. He said when we all went out together (Roc wasn’t there) he said he seen me talking to some guys at the party and he was like oh my goodness look at her chatting. I told him what is wrong with chatting he said too that a Jamaican man thinks that is disrespectful I told him its not like I was all over him or in there face I was just chatting he was like but still you shouldn’t do that . So I told him well what if I was with Roc and I seen him would it be disrespectful to stop and talk to him knowing how cool we are. He was like yes if I seen you we would stop and chat and maybe even 1/2 hug but I would keep it at a minimal because I wouldn’t want to upset your man with the disrespectfulness. I was like whatever. So maybe I just met two insecure people whose trying to throw their beliefs on the entire island.

Honestly Roc handles it well he has never said anything to me about. I just sometimes notice a change in his attitude. We were having one of our heart to hearts and he brought it up how he feels I am disrespecting to him because I talk to everybody. No mater what he said I always have to stop and chat.. My co-worker told me too I'm very friendly. I wonder if its I'm friendly or maybe the way I'm coming off seems as though I'm flirting and not talking. I'm not going to change me I like to speak its who I am. Maybe I just have to watch how I speak.

the shutting down thing.. it may be a pattern w/ JA men, u guys have the proof, but i know the ex is the king of shutting down, we could go w/out talking for DAYS.. roger did that one time when we first met and i told him i was not gonna deal w/ it.. he never did it again. i am so proud of him we talk and we just move on in peace even if we don't agree..

I've found that if we part ways while upset, we both stay in foul moods. But if we talk it out then & there, we get past it. I told him let's always talk it out immediately to shorten the "upset" time.

Sus are you serious!!! You changed the plans and haven't informed him yet?? Ooooooooooo I'm telling...lol Girl yuh gonna get it fi sure... Whoo when you said you put yup a wall you mean you put up a wall but Sus keep it real do you really think you can be in Jamaica and not be with him if he decides to not come?? I hate to see you tell your friends,"Go ahead without me I'll catch up."...
