Yeaaahhiieee...jumping ^ and down and < to > for you....you must be so excited. I am going to be a basket case.

:dance::wacko:

I'm being judged unfairly at work for the same thing. It hurts that people can't see past their own judgements because of an increased workload or frustrated bosses. Most don't get it until it is in their own back yard. Once she satisfied the requirements for FMLA...she does not have to bring a doctor's excuse to work. As a matter of fact, we cannot even keep copies of doctor's notes or FMLA claim info in our employees HR files. I don't wish what I'm going through on anyone. Shemmy try to stay objective and think what if it happened to your hubby or yourself. You don't want someone thinking that you are slacking off while you are taking care of your husband because it is not easy for the person with the back surgery or the person taking care of them. Love you much babes.

Jawi - I understand your point but I know these cases on professional and personal levels. We are all HR specialists so they are familiar with the procedures. We always need documentation. Our Executive Director has to approve all leave requests.

Actually, I am the nice one in the office who give them work to do from work and donated my own leave. I have fought for them to be in our leave donation program so they can still get a paycheck to support their families. Like most employees, they cannot afford to go without getting paid. The only things I've asked for are medical documentation and report hours work to make sure they get paid on time. Which they have failed to do....so I'm done. Trust me, upper management will not be so nice.

Oh...okay forgot you worked in HR...totally different ball game there. I stay on top of my actual work time. I wish they would allow me to work from home...I can use my neckbrace at work...just not for my 2 hour commute...which is when the pain kicks in.

Yea Nat, this friday. I really want him to come Wednesday but he sayin he has to wash :diablo: I told him to bring his dirty clothes and I will was them when he gets here.lol

Morning all - Glad to hear you aren't feeling too bad, Nat - I remember having that done - two were easy, two were awful!

I was browsing through my emails this am, and I get these emails with new matches from a dating site I joined years and years ago - I have marked them as junk, but they always land back in my inbox - Today I read it, and thought this was one of the funniest and creative introductions:

Looking for a relationship WITH strings. It’s those connections that make a relationship full, enticing, and gives it staying power. But lets keep the tangles and knots to a minimum, I'm not looking to jump in both feet first, casual and easy is a good place to start. Oh, and while I’m working on contrary stereotypes, I’m not really looking for Ms Right either. Ms Nearly There is probably perfect; Give me the quirks and idiosyncrasies that give some depth of character over perfect every time! If I found Ms. Right, what would be left to explore? That said, issues, and any baggage larger than a carry-on should be checked at the door.

Make me laugh and I’ll share my worst puns with you. I’m a whirlwind in the kitchen, cooking with me is never quiet, or boring. I’m the go-to guy if you want large glasses of BIG red wine and dancing to the Talking Heads, (with the volume at 11), all while chopping basil for fresh pesto. Be active and open to new experiences and people. Find a sunny day and we have to get outside, let the dog have the couch! Summer finds me sailing, riding, playing tennis and finding great outdoor concerts. In the winter, well I've finally traded my skis for a snowboard - full time. Year round I play tennis and travel; a lot. And if you can dance the Argentine Tango, we'll never be at a loss for a Saturday night date!

Passionate about life and all it has to offer, I am well educated, confident, imaginative and subtle when required. I know what I desire and don’t hesitate to take charge when needed. If looks are important, (and they always seem to be), I am easy on the eyes, 6’3” and in fit shape at 205 lbs. Clean-shaven, (from chin to top), I have broad shoulders, long legs and no love handles. Not ripped, just nicely proportioned.

We all need to take more time to play, to be a bit more carefree and to allow ourselves to be what we desire. I want people in my life who truly know that life is about passions, going after your dreams and surrounding yourself with others who feel the same way. I've lived around the world, and I've been around the block, and I think I'm finally getting wise enough to know what really counts. I've got a profession I love, but it doesn't rule my life, or my time. My glass is nearly full, but its time to get a bigger glass, with room for two.

Love and relationships make demands, they take work, and effort. My sleeves are rolled up.

Um, promise you won't boil the rabbit?

Good Morning Yardies, Nat you are right I do have some washing and cleaning to do and I realized i was being a little unreasonable asking him to to travel with a bag of dirty clothes. He also has some final preparations to do so FRIDAY it is.

Glad you are feeling better this morning, I know you hungry as H@ll. I would be starving I needs my meat.lol

SuS glad to see you back, (F)(L)(F) Go out and have that drink you deserve it. Dont worry it will all work out, if it is meant to be it will be everybody deals with arguments in a different way. I agree that he delt with it in the wrong way but it may be the only way he knows because of what he was taught or what he has seen(ignorance) Personally I dont think its a dealbreaker aas long as he knows that its somthing that he has to work on. We all have issues (mine is is inpatience, but God has put me through this process to let me know that I can be patient if I need to be) Pray on it.

Congrats Jgay Girls are an extra special gift, Congrats JaEnglish.

For Moms or moms to be, what are you all doing for mothers day or what are you doing for your Mother?

Girl why Roc tell me yesterday em told his landlord ta cut his cable cut off.. He said he just doesn’t see the sense in paying fi it when he’s never there or most of the channels don't come in or nothing is on. He said all that is ever on is some sponge bob brick pants and he doesn’t watch that.. Girl I lol but in my head I'm like o.k. so when I come I'm supposed to do what? I’m one of them people that sleeps with the tv on and I always wake so early before him because my body is on my work schedule that normally to pass the time I'll turn on the t.v. I can just picture myself laying or sitting there like  .

I'm like Nat, don't even care to watch TV in JA. And, I too can think of other things to do besides watch TV! :P

DaDa,

I understand! Before we got cable I used to watch TVJ ...there's only so much news I wanna see. Since we live in the country there isn't too much to keep you occupied other than visiting..( I do this when A goes to work and we only have 1 car). Then I upgraded to bringing videos...that got too expensive...now we have cable, so I have options! Whoo!

Oh just rub it in that you have cable....LOL Ladies while Roc is there I’m sure we'll find other things to do. The thing I love about Roc is he loves to learn American games so the last few times have been down there I have taught him Spades(he still needs help with that) Steal the Pile, War, Solitaire, Uno, Speed and Sorry. Umm I wonder if I can teach him 5000?? He loves the games and I love for him to try and understand them in his accent. He has also taught me two of his games I think one is Stealing Cassie and the other is umm I forget. We always turn off the tv, put on some music, pop popcorn and open the door while we play but my worry is when he will be at work. This is my first time I am going where he will have to work. At first he had the am shift 8:00-:3:30 but now it looks like he might be on evenings 6:00pm-1:30am so its like o.k. what will I do now. He is tickled loving the fact that when he gets home I’ll be there waiting on him but me I’m like uh honey maybe I should post pone this trip until another time…Plus I normally turn on the tv I the mornings. I always wake before him I’m up at like 7am and with the time difference it will be 6am so I typically turn on the tv until he wakes a hour or two or three later. Now I can see myself staring at the ceiling like o.k….

Who knows…

I loved this one sentence in his whole passage...

"We all need to take more time to play, to be a bit more carefree and to allow ourselves to be what we desire. I want people in my life who truly know that life is about passions, going after your dreams and surrounding yourself with others who feel the same way. "

This is how I feel.... But umm I’m trying to not let my mind go in the gutter but what does he mean when he say don't boil the rabbit??

Very interesting guy I'm sure.. He does sound like he loves life....
